I was going to do a Marine vs Marine battle report with my 14 year old son to post up here......until my wife came downstairs and kicked my arse for keeping him up so late ;D

I got a few pics in Turn 1 though and my son wanted me to take pics of when he nailed one of my Tac squads with a Marauder Destroyer followed up by a Thunderbolt run. I had bunched the Tac squad up close behind a hill near an objective thinking they were relatively safe, even from aircraft because I had a couple of Hunters not far away (as it turned out, neither could hit the side of a house).

Anyway, if a Marauder Destroyer player has some good rolls on the ground attack and you don't save so well, it can hurt....

Hammered by the Destroyer (3 Rhinos and an Infantry unit killed)...

Image

....and then nailed by the Thunderbolt (another 2 Infantry units killed), broke and withdrew into the cover of the nearest treeline...

Image

....I gained some satisfying retribution in my next activation however (I insisted on this pic ;D)

Image

.....and this is what it looked like at the end of Turn 1 just about to walk into Turn 2....queue the fun police :(

I had too many hills left over from my Kallistra Hexon Terrain that I use when I play Battletech....which I hardly ever play these days. So I made them into something I can use for Epic.
