Well my brother really did like the Black Templars - so much so he painted up a 40k army and left it with me.

I will look over the list this weekend. If you say it good, then that has to hold some weight. It is most likely the way I will go.

*Man that new werewolf avatar is really persuasive* :)

Yes. I have been looking at that.

I think the TK attacks need to be updated with the changes from the BL playtest changes or will they remain? They are really powerful as TK hits.

I don't know if they've ever even been played.

Why not do "First War for Armageddon" and do Space Wolves, Ordo Malleus and World Eaters all together?

Firstly Space Wolves are already being handled and secondly, I have no interest in them.

Space Wolves 'hate' Thousand Sons from the history I remember

I would rather keep the World Eaters along with a different nemesis.

Ordo Malleus along with the other two marine chapters are still being considered.

Relictors working alongside the Inquisition whilst using their Daemon Weapons, why?
The Relictors did/do their best to hide their use of Chaos artifacts from the wider Inquisition, not show them off. Only one renegade Inquisitor ever supported them and he did not have an army.

My dislike of the Gun Cutter in the Inquisition lists and especially the "Glavian Pilot" upgrade for the Gun Cutter is longstanding.

The presence of all the various Inquisition formations and upgrades detracts from the Relictors theme (What there is of it) and makes it more of a general Inquisition list, IMHO.

So basically I can't taste any flavour in it.

I have the same issue. If you cut the Inquisition out you then have a standard Marine force with 2 special characters and the absence of a Chaplain.

This was the main reason I stated that the Relictors could easily be added to a supplement as a Marine Chapter with the character differences. They could almost be a 'side note' addition much as the White Scars were.

Templars have a few things that provide a signature apart from the other forces. They would make a handy nemesis.

My only concern is the possibility of the whole army not starting anything on the table. The World Eaters are an attacking force - as are the Templars. I wonder whether the dynamic of a defender vs attacker theme would be lost (?)

The Ordo Malleus: Something about the list screams out to me for a change. I am not sure what it is.

One aspect of the Ordo lists is the VTOL rule. Has this been discussed much at all. It appears that it is exactly the type of rule (if accepted) for the Dreadclaws to mimic the 40k aspect.

Write a good story for the supplement, and that doesn't matter.

99% of Marine lists are "attacking" lists one way or another.

Yes.

In the case of the units it is used in the Ordos lists, it is largely disliked. Lord I (The list writer) kept it in anyway. Then he quit Epic.

World Eaters have, historically, had beefs with the Blood Angels, the Emperor's Children (Skalathrax would be cool) and...the Space Wolves/Grey Knights at Armageddon. That's about it, dude.

I'd lean toward the Emperor's Children at Skalathrax. That'd be neat as all get-out.

That is incorrect. The excerpt I provided from the Dominion of Fire (albeit they do not name the 4 chapters) should alone be evidence of that. The fact that GW has kept all history vague gives me a whole lot of breadth to go with. World Eaters have been combating for many Millennium to provide skulls and blood. They did not merely sit around and wait for Armageddon did they?

The only issue are the vehicles available to each of the legions at the time of that battle. I could just play the 'suspension of disbelief' past that and do it. It was something I was looking at on the side. Just was not sure whether I should do 2 opposed Gods or Good Vs Evil. Hmmm. Yet more to read and consider... The other issue is the need for the removal of so much Fearless in that army list.

No, it's really not. No other specific enemy is mentioned, at least not that I'm aware of. You want a nemesis, those are your official options.

If you want to make one up, then of course the sky's the limit. But as regard to official notable enemies of the World Eaters? Those are your options (and the BA are only on there because of the Siege of Terra).

I don't think anything really pins the incident down in time - it's not current, but that's about it. And it'd be a lot more interesting than the usual "Space Marines/Guard variant vs. EVIL". Cool terrain possibilities, too. Ice world with frozen, empty obsidian cities.

In regard to fixing up the EC list, well, that could be a problem. Still. You'd seem to be stuck with that no matter what.
