When I woke up this morning, I realized I'd discovered an "accidental proof" of why "stretching" needs to be allowed:

The largest allowed base size for an infantry unit cannont physically fit "fully within 5cm" of a unit it's disembarking from: a 40mm x 40mm base has a diagonal length of over 56mm.

Thoughts?

We don't need to allow it to disembark diagonally. It can fit within 5 cm, you just need to rotate it appropriately.

I think there are probably several situations where staying completely within 5cm is impossible so I think it's not worth trying to be too fussy about it.

for example, I recently had a fully loaded Manta unload all it cargo for an Engagement.
That's 8 Firewarrior stands, 2 Pathfinder stands, 5 Crisis Suits and 4 Hammerhead tanks. Everything had something within 5cm's of the Manta base but there's no way the whole lot could be completely within 5cm's.
