Just gotten back, brilliant day (probably my favourite Epic gaming day that I've been to so far, if only for the greater than typical variety of armies on display!).
Yup,was a superb day, made all the more entertaining by the combination of forces not normally seen and scenarios no normally played.

...and for a hilarious "double or nothing" ten minute turn 4 of my last game versus a chap named Darren (we finished the game with 30 seconds to spare on the clock, as his Supa Stompa BTS resolutely stood defiantly alive amidst a full encirclement of Krieg men and machines!).
When a man says to you "lets see if we can get the fourth turn done in the last 10 mins or call it a draw if we can't" - well, in my mind that's what toy soldiers is all about!  Despite putting about 427 blast markers (well, it felt like it anyway!) on the big Krieg detachment I just couldn't break them...

Excellent day, hopefully this event's success will encourage more Epic events to use a wider variety of army lists (and a lesser emphasis on the "tournament scenario").
Amen to that....

On a less enjoyable note, the day ended on a sour note when poor Ginger left the building to start the trek home, only to find his car had been broken into and a bag of his stuff stolen.  I understand all rule books, dice, gaming counters etc were lost.  My sincere commiserations Gavin, I know how much of a pain that is.
Looking forward to seeing all of you later in the year....
Cheers
