Hi,
Just starting out in the world of Epic. I have quite a large eldar force, but they are on both styles of bases. Will this make a difference to playing?
Cheers
Mick

Basing is very open in epic, see 1.1.2. But in short, no it won't.

Not really, both types of bases are permitted in the current rule set.

According Epic Armageddon rules, the infantry bases go from the small 20*5mm to the big 40*40, and every size between is valide. But the most common sizes are 20*20, 40*12 and ~20/25mm round bases.
