I prefer to keep the units rougly comparable to W40k, not necesaily in every minutia and obviously they are different game systems, but in the general feel and having a Bombard - the mightiest of all Imperial vehicular artillery to have a piddly range of 45cm just feels
wrong. There are likely 100+ W40k players for every Epic player and keeping the epic stats roughly matching can be helpful in some cases when persuading someone to play, it certainly won't be the only factor but if there are many units missing or very different to how they are used to them being in W40k/current background then that could be off-putting. FW were following the old stats for the gun anyway; in SM/TL the Bombard and the Basilisk had exactly the same max range. It was EpicA that 'got it wrong' and these stats bring them back to where they should be. The Krieg list is already chock full of differently stated units, as in the Minervan list and other Net-EA lists - updating and altering stats in new lists is just something Net-EA lists do a fair amount of and even if some people don't like that that horse has bolted, as it were.

Hena: Bombard is highly usable as is and changing the range to longer it just becomes too good. I don't want to play a game where every units power is amplified.
If the Bombards were changed to 120cm range for free then yes, I would agree, however the cost would be going up quite significantly too so it can be pointed appropriately with longer range.
