As I have said previously, there is nothing wrong with the current sprues. ?As a matter of fact, I think they are excellent. ?The idea that you'll have just enough to make whichever formation isn't really accurate as there are different possibilities and who knows what troop selections each person will make regarding his force.
Instead of retooling all the infantry sprues that should have just updated the plastic warlord. ?I will never win on this but I know I am right.

I have just had a look at the files, as I am looking forward to it a lot now! All those new models!
And, in the Titan Legions section, I believe there is proof that the old reaver is coming back!
Cheers
Chris

Indeed Stormseer, I bet you won't get that many new Warhounds though
I wish they would do a metal beetleback...as the plastic one is never coming back into production
Cheers

Hi!
The second is the release schedule in the FAQ (nice to see much of my gripes are printed in there! ) that I'll have to wait till 2006 to see Chaos. Guys, I have lost a alot of interest in Epic now, and I doubt I'll really care by 2006. Chances are, I will have moved on to a completely different hobby (as of right now it is hiking and camping. . .).
|
Imagine what a complete newbie to epic would say when he asks when his favorite army is out (in the case of chaos) and the answer is 2006.....
I feel for chaos players, they got hosed with epic 40k and now a release AT LEAST 2 years away, if ever.
Welcome to the epic hobby.....

It seems a shame that once Chaos comes, then it will be 2007 Necrons, then 2008 Tau. 5 years till mass produced Epic Tau! No thanks! What happened to every 6 months like we have been told for ages? It seemed like we were going to have a decently running system once again! And now there is talk of AT2/3 being full printed and a new "air combat" (Read "Bombers Over Da Sulphur River"2) game.
Simple route to sucess - Get the models back into production, get the army lists done, fill in any gaps, then Necrons, then Tau, then all the other games. Simple strategy, could be done easily in the next 3 years, not 5 or however many it takes as currently predicted
Perhaps we should be running fanatic?
Cheers
Chris

I beg to differ - he told the EPICentre that a Beetleback was being seriously considered, as a different pattern for the Warlord. Mars pattern perhaps?

Yeah it would be the Mars pattern, to fit with the Mars pattern Reaver and Warhound being released. Then we have Lucious pattern Warlords, Reavers and Warhounds.
I seriously doubt that some moulds could just be "lost" Surely they will be in a dark dingy corner in the GW underground vault?
Cheers
Chris

Most of them were smashed to make way for new 40k and WFB molds. Oh and now LOTR...

The Orks section shows the new wartruks and guntrukks. I think I prefer the FW guntrukks, but the wartrukks dont look too bad.
The Battlefortress looks very nice still. Not sure about the killa kanz. Shame there's no new Warboss figure. I'll just have to keep on making my own.

...The moulds could be worn out- after so many thousand uses, anything will start to degrade due to wear and tear. However, I ould have thought that it wouldn't be all that difficult to just cast up the individual plastic parts of an old Warlord in metal would it?

Perhaps he meant getting a new model sculpted in the same style?
I'm sure I read a post within within the last week or 2 where Jervis said the molds for the plastic warlord had been lost and they couldn't make a metal version of it.
Edit: I found the post, its the 1st post by Jervis on this page: http://forums.specialist-games.com/epic40k....hpage=3
