So here is an EpicA army for the Legionnaire elements of the guild, there is an accompanying police/pdf list with the other guild gear in, its just not pretty yet.

So help with points and stats? Ideas behind it. Mid way between Guard and marines. Large formations and everything matching EW pack sizes. No commissars (so no inspiring or fearless). Try to be WYSIWYG as much as possible and fit the guild background Toms written.

There is a large background doc fitting them into 40k (they get hit by a crusade but go down fighting) which I will make legible at some point.

interesting. don't know anything about the background though, so I'm not sure how relevant my comments would be. Seems to be pretty seriously gunned (space ships and aircraft in particular). Great armour on the tanks too. What's the aim/ niche you're looking for? Looks like IG but with better guns and no titans :)

In response to some comments

The Infantry is one AP4+ 30cm shot between 2 stands because I wanted them to be a bit different to guard and to be an attacking force. That means 30cm range not 45. Further that means doubling, so the automatic choice of 30cm 5+ would be rather poor and lead to an overall points decrease per unit, combined with large packs this would mean a fairly static play style. Further the EW infantry is covered with heavy weapons and 1 shot per stand I thought was a bit much and would make it more like a firepower army than manoeuvre one which is what all good armies are really :) plus not fitting with their lovely vehicle hull!
Going with a 'double' (similar to twin in my mid) and some soon to be inserted fluff about fire and movement by team allows the AP to go up and weapon count go down, overall making it less of a sustain force.

Why are leaders separate? Won't people always buy them?
Well, yes they will. However as they don't come on the box together I feel its unfair to make them compulsory.

Any thoughts on whether they should be worth strat 3 or 2? How many points is that worth at 3000?
