You garrisoned your forlorn hope 15cm from an objective in your opponents half

Bad Chris! Bad!

You put a blurry red blob (Feral Titan I think) inside a wood and didn't roll a dangerous terrain test for it before the game started?

Er... that's not a rule. There are no "pre-turn" dangerous terrain tests.

Telerporters need to test when they appear, but there are no rolls for normal deployment.

Rather interesting looking armies there...

And the prize goes to the finely painted Eldar in the corner!

Luckily all it would have needed to correct it was a strung out scout stand and it made no difference to the result (indeed they were sitting ducks).

Well you live and learn.  :)

Thanks for the game Chris! (and putting up with my unfamiliarity with Vassal and the Guard) I was convincingly beaten but learnt a lot.

It did used to be 2D6 Commissars per guard army, no matter how big the army was, but that sensibly got changed to 3 per 500pts. Hopefully Epic-Uk will follow suit but for the moment it's still 2D6 there.

Titan Commissars are contentious and really not appropriate backgroundwise. Chris talked me into it last night and I do appreciate the tactical benefits of using them but... though it is legal there in the rules there, it's not in the spirit of the things or how I want to play really and I'm going to avoid it in future I think (or only place in Warhounds last if I roll that many and even then only use the Inspiring and Leader to represent a veteran princeps, passing up on the CC MW).

I think you mean 1 per 500pts.  :suspect:
