Yeah the lack of long range weapons was an issue, and given another go I'd have adjusted the load outs considerably. I also don't think that the CML were effective at all that game, too easy to clip targets outside of the umbrella. Will have to think about it a bit more.
I'd originally planned to play a three reaver list to see how it fared, but TRC mentioned that it had been played to death recently so I threw together a warlord list instead.
I tend to play more conservatively with warhounds, trying to save them as a reactionary force or late game mobility. I did make the mistake of having the one outside of cover at the start. I underestimated the speed some of the ork units could get over to it. I think my MVP goes to the poor reaver that just wouldn't die or the sentinels that somehow managed to survive against the ork shooting.
Perhaps next game we should roll real dice and call out the numbers
