- Warband Uge garrison left side town
- World Eater Chosen set up on right side ruins
- Madboyz set up on right side ruins

Set-ups
- World Eater Initiates1 Right side ruins
- Steam Gargants left side city
- World Eater Bike Retinue behind World Eater Initiates1
- Boarboyz3 right side of left hill
- Junka Brigade right side city
- Wildboyz Uge set up centre of the table

- Steam Gargants Double towards Bloodgors – 1 dead Bloodgor
- Bloodgors attempt to Marshall, fail, and due to Blood Rage, there is no-one to charge, nor can they shoot, so they move back behind the crater to prevent the gargants shooting the further.
- Boarboyz2 Double towards Chosen
- World Eater Initiates1 triple into middle ruins
- Boarboyz3 Double along left side of the table
- World Eater Bike Retinue Double towards Boarboyz2
- Boarboyz1 Double up behind Gargants
- World Eater Chosen Advance into Ruins

Turn 2

Teleports: None

World Eaters win Initiative on a ‘6’ and gain 3 more Bloodletters to Daemon Pool.

- Strike Cruiser activates.
>>>Pin Point attack hits a Gargant doing 3 wounds
>>>Orbital Strike hits Junka Brigade and Wildboy unit killing 2 Boyz, 2 Junka trucks, 1 nob and 2 Wildboyz
>>>Launched both Dreadclaws to land between Warband Uge and Wildboyz Uge.

Dreadclaws Land



>>>Berzerkers and Initiates2 exit Dreadclaws


…after Dreadclaws land:

- World Eater Berserkers retain and Engage Warband Uge.
>>>Warband Uge Overwatch killing 1 berzerker.
>>>Combat ensues and after exhilarating cries of combat, the Orks win by three, breaking the Berserkers who decide to stay where they are.

Combat with the berzerkers


- Wildboyz Uge attempt to Engage Initiates2 and fail. The feral Ork Warlord screams in rage and the Wildboyz decide to stop arguing and get on with the job. The ensuing combat sees 5 Dead World Eater initiates and 4 dead orks, however the combat ends in a draw!
>>>Another round of combat ensues and another Initiate dies to 2 Ork casualties. The battgle result again turns out to be a draw!!
>>> Another round of combat ensues and the two World Eater Initiates hold off the attack and kill 1 ork in the process which was enough to win the combat. Both units end up broken.

- World Eater Chosen Engage Madboyz. Madboyz lose and break, yet being Fearless, they stay where they are.
- Junka Brigade Doubles towards Bloodgors yet fail to kill any
- World Eater Initiates1 Advance and shoot at Junka Brigade killing 1 truck
- Boarboyz3 Double towards Bloodgors
- Bloodgors Marshall and remove all BM
- Steam Gargants Double towards Berzerkers and shoot killing 1 unit
- World Eater Bike Retinue March back to own Blitz objective behind craters
- Boarboyz1 Double forward
- Boarboyz2 Double forward
- Warband Uge(BTS) Doubles to left side city towards the Berzerkers and shoot killing both dreadnoughts


Rally Phase
> Berserkers fail to Rally. Even with Angrons bellowing roars (SC), the fail again.
> Wildboyz Uge Rally
> World Eater Initiates2 fail to rally
> Gargants remove BM
> Chosen and Angron fail to remove BM
> Madboyz rally
> Junka Brigade fail to remove BM
As you can see, the World Eaters were having a real hard time at rallying everything after rolling 4x 1’s.

Turn 3

Teleports: World Eater Terminators teleport onto Ork Blitz with no BM

Feral Orks win initiative on a tie

- Warband Uge(BTS) Engages World Eater Terminators klilling 5 Termies for a loss of 5 Orks (terminators could not even save 1 hit on 4 of their guys even with a reroll!). After the combat, the Terminators win breaking Warband Uge(BTS) yet being broken themselves.
- Junka Brigade retain and Double back behind Gargants and shoot at World Eater Initiates2 killing 1 unit.
- World Eater Initiates2 double towards Wildboyz Uge and shoot killing 3 units
- Gargants charge Initiates2 wiping out the last Initiate yet losing one of the gargants in the process.
- World Eater Chosen Engage Madboyz breaking them in combat (1 casualty to 4)
- Wildboyz Uge Marshall and remove 6 BM
- World Eater Bike Retinue March towards Boarboyz1 leaving the Blitz and essentially losing the battle on Turn 3      *shakes head*
- Boarboyz1 Double back towards own table edge
- Warband Uge Double back to shoot at the Terminator stand with the Skull Lord killing him and attaining the BTS



- Boarboyz2 (pictured bottom left above )March forward to gain the Blitz objective to win the game

No point in playing it out further as World Eaters had no other units left

After Game Thoughts

As the World Eater player I took a string of units to test that I do not believe worked well together, and I was inexperienced in using them.

The lack of rallies after Turn 2 did not help either, nor did the inability of the Terminators not making their saves

More playtests and experience should provide closer battle reports

I also forgot to use my Daemons for combats. Very disapointing  *shakes head*

The Madboyz are a nice cheap unit for the Feral orks as they are able to tie up units many points their size.

nice report.

and i have to say from facing feral orcs on a regular basis with marines that i find them a hard match up for the strike force tactics that the marines use.

If by Strike force you mean drop pods and Termis teleporting, I now find it easy to know when and were the units are coming onto the board.


I found that Squiggoths and Madboyz are awesome.

I found that Squiggoths and Madboyz are awesome.

i was more meaning in general about the way the marines play, punching into enemy lines when and where they choose and have a quality over quantity setting in contrast to the orcs.

The weight of numbers the orcs have is a very strong element to deal with and more so in the feral lists i find.

And the squiggoths i dont find to hard to deal with, but its the orkeorsarus that i find a really headache.
