I spoke to FW today, and rang again to verify from another MO guy, to ask about the epic line review.

Apparently it is complete and everything that is still on the website is staying, if it is gone then its not coming back.

At least some stuff is continuing then but for the Tau it seems a desperatly stupid decision.

That's really weird, leaving only the less popular items available like that.

Yes, that truly seems absurd... but, then again, this is GW we're talking about...

Well, how long has it been since Epic: Armageddon was published? I ask because FW still don't seem to have gotten the message, as they still refer to everything as Epic: 40,000.

I'm sceptical they'd leave it at such a bizarre mid-point for an ongoing basis e.g. you can buy Kroot Hounds / Krootoxes but no basic Kroot that are a mandatory requirement to field them. I'm sure they're going to be popular with new Tau players! :sulk:

This also seems to contradict what others have heard about them being in the process of re-tooling some moulds. Fingers crossed you're information was wrong!

I find the information highly suspect. It doesn't make good business sense to continue to sell the models that didn't do as well and not the ones that sold out.

Someone else on Warseer is reporting that the entire Epic line has been cancelled and will presuambly not be restocked once sold out, also off of a phone call today.

I understand that sometimes a company needs to keep it's plans secret, but GW just flat-out lies way too often.

I mean, once a desicion is made, just let us know. We can take it, we're grown ups. Maybe they just don't want their feelings hurt on the internets.

Very often it seems that their phone staff simply don't know, rather than are trying to keep things secret.

This could very well be possible, with only the models needed for Aeronautica to remain.

Well, as employees of the company, they should be trained to just say "I am not allowed to say," or something along those lines.

If I answered customer questions by just making something up (as they seem to), I'd get fired.

My guess is that they aren't just making stuff up so much as they aren't being kept properly informed about what's going on and are often confused and misinformed.

Well the Eldar Firestorm is gone too.

^ No, it isn't. It's still available in the Aeronautica Imperialis section, under 'Ground Defences':
http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/acatalo....T_2d052

For some reason, when it came out it was never added to the Epic section of the webstore, only the AI section.
