Oh, by the way

I will state that the most important tool for painting I have found is the brush. I started working on the bikes with a brush that kept it's point and I found that I could do so much more. I am so used to working with brushes that fray or split in the middle of painting.

I am now definitely going to be on the lookout for items that will keep the brushes in top working order. I believe there is a can of wax-type-thingy(?) that you can use to help keep the brushes in top condition?  I think it will be worth finding that due to the prices of brushes these days.

A brush that keeps its point is definitely useful for insignias and lettering as well

If anyone can help us with the wax-type-thingy(?), it would be greatly appreciated.

For brush care, you pretty much treat it like the hair on your head.  You can use commercial conditioner to bring some life back to a brush or pick up specialized artist brush conditioner, like Weber's.

If you are using enamels, oils, or pigments along with acrylics I'd recommend you use different brushes for each medium.  Pigments & enamels can really be harsh on a brush.

Great work on those Fists!

Ahhhh, thats where ive been going wrong all these years, i thought it was odd that i couldn't see bits of painty bacon rind on other peoples painting areas. :))

What you can get, that i find useful, is soap like stuff in a small pot, which contains brush conditioner. All you have to do is put some water on the brush, then rub it into the hard soap to work up a lather. Wash, rinse and repeat as needed, or leave it on the bristles for a  while to remove dry paint. Such products can also be used to re-shape the bristles.

I use this make, but ive seen others available.
