Standard Chimeras, and Basilisks.  The Chimeras kind of boggle the mind, because I put the order in a month before people started noticing items disappearing, so who knows.

A curious thing. When things began to disappear on Forgeworld, I emptied the stock of a Swedish indy retailer. Thing is, the Basilisk and the Stormblade is now back in stock, but the Chimera with Heavy flamer is reported as no longer available.

Actually not necessarily - the idea right from the start was that they were selling down stock and holding a review to see if they would bring any of it back. We didn't know what the result would be, thought at the time the guy on the phone I spoke to confided towards the end of the call there wasn't much chance of things coming back. Consequently assuming the worst and getting what we wanted while we still could was prudent.

I suspect they might have been a bit shocked how much of an upswing in epic sales they had once people heard, think someone mentioned the FW chap commenting he'd sold 8k of epic that Monday morning (with overall total sales of everything normally averaging 2.5k a day). I reckon those sales, showing the clearly still was a market for this stuff, was what might have swung decisions to bring back models (fingers crossed that's the case!), rather than the original information being wrong.

That makes ... you smart guys figure this kind'a stuff out ...     I'll go kill or blow something up !

Ok.  that could somewhat explain why my chimera order from about a week after we started hearing big about this still hasn't come in. But not my order of 2 packs if AI Vultures that I placed back in May and were offically ordered on May 19th when the chicago bunker sent in about 5 orders including that one and EVERYTHING ELSE on that order has shown up.

I spoke with Forgeworld this morning while placing my order and was told this;

A number of items are undergoing review, and those that receive approval will be remoulded. Those that do not receive approval will be dropped from the line. I ordered their last 6 Conqueror blisters, and half of the remaining Executioners (they have 4 left), though both I was told would remain in production. Vanquishers on the other hand have been dropped, it would seem, as they refused to take any orders for them. Good thing I have 1 on backorder!

They also said it would be a month or two until they could send replacement parts for my Stormblade that arrived minus a plasma cannon, and that they had no extra sponsons to replace the missing ones.

Hmmm ... still not stellar news ...  I still think they are in the Dunkirk mode ...

I made an order when this all first kicked off and at that time was told they were sold out of executioners and could take no more orders for them.

I think they've been milking this a bit.

Well, so far I'm waiting for my replacement Chimeras and two Administratum buildings. I am mainly holding out hope that the Tau line returns. If it does, it will supplant my long term ideas for an eldar army.

I was told by the chicago bunker manager that he finally got ahold of forgeworld on my order (the ONLY one that hasn't been filled yet) and was told that the master for one of the orders had to be redone and that they were doing it and spinning my order as fast as possible.  Whether this is the AI Vultures or the Chimeras with heavy bolter or Salamander Commands I don't know...

Oh.  There was one other thing.  I made a stink about how there was no announcement about the FW Epic cut down when at Chicago Games Day (where as a note if you didn't place a specific order for anything specialist games, they didn't bring it as they apparently aren't bringing specialist games stuff to shows anymore) they had said that they did make an announcement about the review in one of the newsletters.  Not any one of the ones I've seen on the website...

When in doubt lie. Maybe it was one of those emails that don't get emailed?
