Situation : 8 Striking Scorpions engage 4 Leman Russ in base to base, and a Reaver nearby.
The 4 first hits are allocated to Leman russ, and the next 6 to le Reaver. The question is "Are the shields of the Reaver effective ?" Shields are ineffective against CC hits, and Scorpions use their CC score so the hits should ignore the shields. But the Reaver is not really engage in CC, so I finally don't know how to handle that situation.

The hits have 'stretched' beyond direct CC, and however odd it might seem, the shields are effective.

Ok, I think you are suggesting that the Shining spears have engaged the Leman Russ counting the Reaver as intermingled. The Shining spears have been positioned with two bikes to each tank, they miraculously gain 8x hits out of a potential ten and following the hit allocation rules, the first 4x hits are allocated to the tanks while the remainder are allocated to the Reaver.
I would agree with E&C that those hits that spill over to the Reaver would fall onto the shields first. This is another of those situations that potentially modifies the normal hit allocation rules. You would only count hits missing the shields from any units that had been placed in B-B with the Reaver, so should throw the dice for those units separately. The same applies to mixed hit types (normal, MW, Lance and TK) and the way they are gained.
Note, if some of the bikes were placed in B-B with the Reaver scoring hits, I suspect they could be allocated against the Tanks if no other hits were caused because the defender allocates the hits, though I am not sure many people would actually do this.

I agree. Only hits from units that are actually in base contact with the Reaver will bypass the Void Shields.
Any time Void Shields (or Power Fields of Knight shields or whatever) are involved, if there are some units that can bypass shields because they are in base contact then roll for those units separately.
