Hi guys. I have the opportunity to pick up some Space Marine models, as described below:
3 x Blisters of Imperial Baneblades 2nd edition 2 x Blisters of Imperial Manticore 2nd edition (3 per pack)
Since my SM days were a long time ago, can someone comment on the detail of the old SM models compared to newer stuff, and roughly what I should be paying for them?

Hi!
They are generally less detailed than newer models. That being said they offer a wonder contrast in your army when combined with newer stuff.
Pick them up cheap if you can.

Is ~$40US cheap for 3 baneblades and 3 packs of medusae?

If you are getting all those at that price it is a good deal. They'd be much more expensive from G/W if they were still available, but I don't see them in the listings.

Hi!
40 dollars?!
Get them NOW and dont look suspicious either, that a good deal. That was approximately 75 dollars in its day, almost 50% off.
Good deal.

whoops, it was actually only 2 packs of manticores that I got, not the 3 that I mentioned halfway down the page (damn, no full artillery company for me!)
But yeah, $61AUD for the lot, including shipping.

I'm thinking along the lines of eBay perhaps?
If it is another source, I bet I know someone who would like to know about it (*cough* Primarch *cough* )
Cheers
Chris

Hi!
Actually Chirs, I almost NEVER buy from e-bay, too expensive. I have found that contacting old epic gamers who have given up the game much, much cheaper. Also I have clean out whole stores with epic stuff in their bargain bins and even if they are not I make offers to take the stock of their hands for a very good price for me (I know what the price the retailer bought for, being an ex-retailer, so I offer a price where I know they are not losing money, simple!).

I lost the old thread for this, so I thought that I would start a new one.
The new Land Speeder is the picture of today. What do you think?
Then there is one more picture that I have found!
[Edited to confirm with new board policy!]

Yum! I like the drop pod. Nowadays I am crazy enough to buy them; in the old days they were too expensive for me.

They're nice. I was expecting all the marine stuff to be Templars first before other chapters.

Like the land speeder, but it looks a little rough, maybe it's the paint-job, I don't know...
I'm off to find the "hidden" picture now.
