Nightspinner (NS2) sustain fire at the marched retinue, scores 4AP and 4 AT hits, killing 1 Rhino

Falcons (FAL2) retain, double at Mech Ret 2 , scoring 4 AT hits, killing 3 Rhinos, Mech Ret 2 breaks.

Falcons (FAL1) double, shooting at FT1, scoring 3 hits, taking down shields.

PT sustains fire at FAL1, scoring 3 hits, killing 2 of them, formation breaks
Mech Ret 1 retains, marching forward on the left to back up the Titans.

WR double in the back of Mech Ret1, giving them one BM and getting in crossfire position.
Revenants retain, double in position to crossfire FT1, forgetting that FT1 has thick rear armour, but scoring 3 hits, so or so, FT1 fails to save any hit and breaks.

RET SUP goes to Overwatch

GWH1 doubles to get in close formation, shooting at Mech Ret 1, producing 1 BM

RET doubles to attack the Revenants, scoring only 2 hits with their plasma, but Holofields fail to save one of the hits, REV receive 2 BM

NS1 sustain at MechRet1, scoring only 1AP and 2AT Hits, killing a Rhino, Mech Ret 1 receives 3 BM
Aspekt Warhost engages Mech Ret1, scoring 11:7 with support from GWH1 and some Windriders. 2 Rhinos are hacked down as the Plague Marines retreat. AS gets into the forest to get some cover after the assault.
GWH2 goes to Overwatch

Rally Phase:
Only the broken Mech Ret 2 fails, all other formation rally, but one needed the Supreme Commander roll.

(will add pics later, i´m at work atm...)

Hope it´s ok like this?
If you don´t get what we are doing there just tell me ;)

Turn 2
Stategy Roll: Eldar wins

Windrider double, triggering overwatch from SUP RET, but only receive one BM, the Vyper then shots at RET, killing one Plague Marine.
GWH1 engages both Titans with intermingled assault, commanding the Aspacts to attack with them. With lot of luck an inspiring exarch the Eldar prevail, breaking the titans, knocking away all shields an 2 DC.

Contagion Towers fire sustained barrages at FAL2, breaking them.
RET engages the Revenant Titans, scoring 7:6 and manage to break the Titans…

FAL1 double towards CT and DG Blitz, scoring 3 hits, killing one Tower, breaking the formation.
NS1 Sustain at RET, scoring 4 hits and one kill, breaking the formation.

PT sustains at the Windriders, hits 7, killing 4, breaking the formation.
MechRet1, stubborn as they are, march forward towards the Eldar Blitz, again, this time kinda slow, as they already lost all Rhinos.

GWH2 try to double, but fail to activate and only take one move.

SUP RET goes to Overwatch

Nightwings try to damage the badly damaged Titan, scoring not a single hit.
Nightspinner (NS2) sustain on the broken MechRet2, scoring one kill with only one hit.
Rangers attempt to go on Overwatch, but fail…. so they move around a bit.

Rally Phase:
Revenants do not rally  :sus:
Contagion fail
MechRet2 fails again
All other Formations rally.

The nightspinners should have removed 2 casualties from Mechret2. If the formation was broken they would receive one blast marker for coming under fire, and one blast marker for the Eldar disrupt weapon hit, therefore remove 2 casualties. Void Spinners are particularly excellent at killing broken enemy.

This is true against normal enemys, but the rotten followers of nurgle are all stubborn and can take saves against this "hits" or did we play that wrong and this is only against hack down in engagements?

however, here´s :

Turn3:

Avatar is summoned near GWH1

Strategy Roll: Eldar wins

Nightspinner sustain fire at broken MechRet2, scoring one kill
GWH2 engage broken Mech Ret2, after 2 Rounds of combat they cant´t stand against the angry Bolters of the Plague Marines an loose the combat, falling back in cover near the Bridge.

Despoiler Class crosses the Battlefield, unleashing a Pinpoint Attack on the Revenants, scoring not a single hit.
Orbital bombardment targets on OBJ2, but scatters to much, not even a single BM for the elder Rangers securing this objective.

FT2 retains, failing to activate due to blast markers, using supreme re-roll to engage GWH1, killing 3, winning the combat, only one weapon platform can escape.

FAL1 double, shooting CTs, taking the DG Blitz.

PT doubles, shoots at WR, killing all of them that were left
MechRet1 doubles towards the Eldar Blitz, circling the Avatar and shooting like hell with their plasmaguns, scoring several hits, causing the Avatar to loose 2DC, breaking it.

NS1 sustains fire at the spread out MechRet1, scoring no a single hit.
Aspects engage MechRet1, resolution is 8:7 for Eldar, breaking the DG Troopers.

FT1 Advances at the AS hiding in the Forest, killing 4 of them, which causes the formation to break.
RET fails activation and just moves 15cm.

FAL2 fail activation and only regroup.
Rangers advance towards the MechRet2, scoring one hit, but killing none.
Nightwings fail to take off…

Rally: All, but MechRet2 (broken since Turn 1 ^^) and both Eldar Guardians.

Victory Conditions: Both sides only got the Blitzkrieg and both other objective markers on their own table side.

Turn 4

Strategy Roll:  DG wins

FT1 advances an shoots at the Aspect Warhost, killing 2 Bases, breaking the Formation
The lonely Contagion Tower sustains at the Falcons taking the Blitz, killing TWO with one f´n BP, breaking the Falcons.

Nightwings attempt to damage the Plague Tower, but can´t do more then putting 1 BM on it.
Nightspinners1 sustain on RET, killing 1, putting 3BMs on them.
Revenants try to double but fail, needing the supreme re-roll to fire at the MechRet2, with one Titan suppressed. Killing all but one lonely Plague Marine.

PT sustains at Revenants, killing one of them, breaking the other.

Nightspinners2 try to sustain Fire but fail and can only move a bit….

FT2 doubles at the Falcons2, scoring no kill

None of us managed to get more objectives, so we calculated Victory Points.

We did it quiet quick, but it was a win for the Eldar, but only 50 Points ahead, more like a tie….

But the game was fun, I think DG should get this transports, in our past games they were a much to easy opponent, as their Retinues were going nowhere with their 15cm speed.

Also I would suggest giving them at least one popcorn formation, perhaps making Plague Zombies a bit better and/or cheaper. (Something like  6+W6 for 150?)

C&C welcome!

Just a note - Orbital Bombardment doesn't actually scatter, only planetfalling units do.

thx for this hint... i was´t even doubting that all things comming from Spacecraft scatter (exept Pinpoint..)

Ok, then the Rangers were broken, don´t think that would have changed much overall.

Ah yes, found the stubborn special rule. Looks nice, never played against any armies with that before, must remember it.

Oh, btw: we are both convinced that stubborn is better than fearless for the DG List, fearless Army would realy suck...
