4. Ravener. I really don't like this one. Clearly superior to other broods, can FF, (too) good in CC, have save and count only half casualty in engages. It has spawning cost of 2 and there is no reason not to spawn only these if available.

This part is incorrect... Raveners count as a "full" casualty, only "Gaunts" have the "half-casualty" rule.

And of course they're "superior", they cost almost twice as much per unit than Gaunts!  *laugh*

Do you think that gave your opponent an unfair advantage? In the games I've played the 1/2 causalities has proven to be too good.

I'm not following you Hena. I know AT heavy units will cut apart a pure gaunt led assault swarm, how does that play into the 1/2 casualties though?

Tunnelers. Do I have to tell which turn they are going to appear on setup? I think not, but was not sure (we played that I did though). Otherwise they are put in like planetfall (15cm reposition and scatter) except that they appear during turn start time.

If the Tyranid rules match the Armageddon rules, then you do not need to declare the turn the tunnelers are going to appear.  You do have to write it on a piece of paper so that you can't change your mind, however.

It is good to be wrong. :)

I really can't say by this game anything about 1/2 cas. There was not much caunt casualties and hena rolled really badly for resolution. There was impact on few cases (it is much more efficient when nids engage, this time marines pulled strings) and we played it so that odd casualty was rounded down. Was it right like so?
