This was my second game of the night... again against one of the local Alaitoc players.

I brough Black Legion this time, as they haven't seen a lot of play recently... and next time, I think I'll bring Cultists, as they *really* haven't seen much action lately...

Only the army lists, as I gotta get some sleep!

Turn 1

No teleports.

Strategy Roll: Black Legion… passed to Alaitoc.

Feeling naked without a ‘Gate, the Warp Spiders march towards the enemy, stopping within the security of a non-ruined building.

The pilot of the Warlock Titan decides to ride the whirlwind, doubling forward to target Retinue 1… their overwatch fire places a Blast marker… and then *FIVE* Chaos Marine units are brain-burned into submission… the stunned survivors back off.

Feral Titan 1 advances to fire on the Warlock, placing another Blast marker.

The Scorpion Super-Heavy doubles to fire on Feral Titan 2, dropping a single Void Shield.

Feral 2 then doubles to fire on the Warlock… for 1 Blast marker.

The Fire Prism Swords of Vaul pop-up, double, and fire on Feral 2… stripping the other Void Shield and doing 1DC damage, breaking the daemonic war engine.

The Raptors take to the air, doubling to Eldar Objective 1.

Aspect Troupe 2 then doubles towards the broken Feral 2… and destroys it!

The Chaos Land Raiders double down the road to fire on Aspect Troupe 2, eliminating their three Falcons.

The Guardian Warhost marches towards the enemy, moving in to cover.

Chaos Retinue 2 then double on the Warlock Titan… placing a fourth Blast marker…

Turn 2

Both formations of Chosen show up, bracketing the Warlock Titan, and each receive one Blast marker on arrival.



Strategy Roll: Alaitoc… OH OH!

The Guardian Warhost doubles and fires on Chosen 2, placing a single Blast marker.

The Warp Spider Aspect Warhost then does its thing, engaging Chosen 1 at a distance and with the support of the Guardians and the Warlock Titan.



Three Warp Spiders are slain in the end, but the Chosen are wiped out to a man.

The Warlock looks down and sustains fire on Chosen 2… erasing the entire formation!

The Chaos Land Raiders advance on the Warlock… and only place a Blast marker.

The Raptors then jump forward to engage Aspect Warhost 2, lose three Raptors, but wipe the Eldar out and then they fall back to cover.



The Fire Prisms try to advance, but the death of the Autarch has shaken them and they only move forward.

Feral 1 then advances on them and blasts down two Fire Prisms, breaking them.

Retinue 2 advances on the out-in-the-open Guardians and take out 3 Guardians and 2 Weapon Platforms.

The Rangers advance, popping up their Falcons, and firing on Feral 1… destroying the Chaos Titan!



The remnants of Retinue 1 advance on the Warlock… and place a Blast marker.

The Scorpion pops-up and advances on the broken Raptors, wiping them out…


End of Turn

All formations rally, again!

Turn 3

No teleports.

Strategy Roll: Alaitoc

Still surrounded by gnats, the Warlock Titan sustains fire again, targeting the Chaos Land Raiders, taking out three and breaking the two remaining.

The Rangers then perform a crazy double, using the Ranger’s scouts unit coherency to string out their Falcons to fire on Retinue 2… taking out a single Dreadnought!



Retinue 2 then doubles on the Guardian Warhost, but only manages to take out 2 Guardians, leaving the formation with 6 Blast markers… and seven units!

The Guardians try to engage the Retinue… but fail, breaking and falling back.

Retinue 1 sustains fire on the Warlock Titan… and manages to do 1DC of damage!

The Fire Prisms double after the broken Land Raiders and take them out.

The Scorpion advances and blasts two Chaos Marines from Retinue 1.

The few Warp Spiders remaining double to secure objectives…


End of Turn

Surprisingly, all formations rally, again!

Score:

Alaitoc 2 (DTF, T-n-H) vs Black Legion 0 (none) – Moderate Alaitoc Victory!!

Out of curiosity, how are the chose able to land that close to the Warlock? Doesn't the teleport have to land outside of enemy ZoC?

The Chosen were all slightly more than 5cm away from the Warlock... that's all the Zone of Control it has...

Really wish I'd had the chance to go first there... *laugh*
