If titans are in the lists you should not think of them as crutches or unsporting. The lists have been written and balanced for their inclusion.

Bear in mind EA is a combined arms game with all the core lists including space craft, infantry, armoured vehicles, warengines, and aircraft. It's only fluff reasons that marines really on Titan for their warengines.


Agreed, though a well-written and balanced army list shouldn't require compulsory formations, it should always have to have 2 Warhounds. It should be able to do well without them.

I agree Russ companies are very good but spending the same points on mech inf is often a better investment as they are faster, harder to suppress, have a larger ZoC, can be taylored within the points bracket with upgrades, outnumber more often in assaults, can make better use of cover...

I take a Russ company as they're cool and require less painting (and effort transporting!)


I'm still not seeing it, though I am becoming more cautious with my Tank Company.
Surely a Mech Infantry will suffer a lot more combat casualties in an Assault than a Tank Company and so likely lose it. So against armies that can set up Engagements (Marines, Eldar, possibly Orks) won't they suffer more?

Really nice painted armies. And heads up, you will get your victories with your Marines, but it will be always hard fought and never easy obtained. But that makes them enjoyable for me. At least they cannot rely on "overpowered" units to get their job done like some of the experimental lists  :whistle:   :D. Teamwork and brute Assault-force ftw.  :love:
