Hi,
Great effort  :D
I think that as there will be more articles with battle reports that show how exciting the game is, show casing forces ETC will definetely make some people start playing..

Do you have any news on whether you've convinced anyone over at Bell of Lost Souls to give Epic a whirl, or is it still too early to say?

Well, I have at least this to cling to:

Another GR00V3Y article, GR00V3R!

I have just decided to blow any Christmas cash on Epic. Probably Space Marines and Orks.

How about a suggestion for $200 worth, that's in Canadian, so not far from Aus dollars I think, we might be worth a bit more.

Two armies, for $200, to get started? Don't worry about the book, I can round one of those up for cheap.

Here's hoping that's just the start of an avalanche of Epic interest!   8v)

I think that's encouraging.  If you end up with more reactions like that, then I feel that we could see some progress.  Please keep up the good work.

Hi,
Read it in the morning, fantastic!
Great writing, and the photos are just as great.
It seems that one of the players is a lady?  :oh:
The odds of a eamle wargamer that plays epic are very very slim I think..

Any ways I think that there should be also modelling articles to show how quickly and easily you can make terrain and setup a good ooking army, and show techniques ETC.

I'll be glad to help on this if you like.

Cheers,
Eyal.

Hi mate,

Kim is indeed a lady and played that game at least with Mark. The names were not changed to protect the innocent.  8v)

And I would be glad for your help with a terrain-related article. That'd be great. PM me and we can trade email addresses.  :))

Cheers, mate! Really, though, the thanks should go to Mark. His awesome terrain and minis really sell it.   :))

Hiya.

I am here cuz of the BOLS articles.  I have recently dug out my epic stuff and am interested in trying out the game.

One thing that is intimidating as a "beginner" is the way the formations and army lists are very variable and can have many different configurations.  (I have been mostly looking at the ork army, as those are the models I have.)  I would be interested in thoughts or an article about list construction--tips about numbers of units in formations, numbers of formations, mixture of forces within formations, etc.

I liked seeing the army pics in the battle report, but I would have liked to see how the forces were split into formations too.

Great job on the epic coverage so far.  Thanks.

Welcome biztheclown

A good place to look at armies here is in the Battle Reports forum, which usually detail the various formations involved before the battle.

Here's a Tyranids vs Bad Moonz Orks fight I wrote up.

Hi biztheclown ,
What I did, is dug out a couple of army lists I've found in the history of the forums that seemed well built, and just got the models for them.
So it saved me the time to try and build new ones.
When I get more experience, I'll try and covert them.
Cheers,
Eyal.

Welcome aboard, Biz. I'm glad to see that BoLS articles has already led to a new recruit.

Welcome Biz, this doc on the GW site Building Epic Armies is worth a read.

After that have a look a around the battle reports. After that post up a list and every man and his dog will tell you what's wrong with it  :vD
