Another game between these armies again. Just a few pics this time.

In the background, a WWII naval game!

Oh wait here's our guard flank about to be over-run start of turn 2. One Guard infantry company at the crossroads vs 2 Black Legion retinues, summoned daemons, supported by a Ravager and Banelord... there were no guard survivors.

In reserve at this part of the line we had two Reaver titans, a Leman Russ company, and a Shadowsword company - but then 2 Chosen Formations with more daemons arrived, together together with a Decimator and Landraiders. The Imperials were destroyed or forced back to our Blitz objective.

More success for the Imperials on the right flank with a big advance happening. However, fourth and final turn with Imperial formations all activated,  some Chaos predators sneakily zoom behind the imperial lines on double orders. If they had got a critical hit on the Shadowswords that might have won the game for the Chaos players by taking the Take and Hold objective there.

General mess and confusion but Guard lines hold. Victory conditions 0-0 at end of fourth turn, and victory points go to Imperial by about 1000 point margin.

Time taken for game - Started setting up tables and scenery sometime after 10 and finished by 3:30. Was agreed that next time playing for another turn might be a good idea next time...

Great looking battle! I love it when Epic battles look like old-school Epic. You guys finished pretty quickly so I guess you felt like the game handles well at that points level right?

Thanks Markconz and warpmaster, I just love to see battles being fought.
(Hm, was that a Khorne sub?)

And let me remind people of this week's Alfakta battles!

Looks like a good day out. Great Battle with refreshments on standby. I love the last picture. Wild Chaotic Melees of confusion, marvellous!
