I'm sorry, this "new" warhound is the ugliest thing I have ever seen. Most technology advances warrant an evolutionary design, as far as weaponry goes. Okay , okay, I know, it is set way off into the future and blah blah, etc, etc, but still, there should have been some effort to retain some of the blocky, thicker feel of the older warlord/fw warhound titans. I personally adore my FW warhounds, and you won't catch me putting any of my hard earned cash down on these things.
Just my 2 bits worth.

I loved the old Reavers - especially in Metallic blue.... ah.... metallic blue and silver, so easy to paint but so effect to see.

Hi!
Those colors were slick, I have one like that. I prefered blood read and bronzed gold trimming for most of them, although I through in some heraldic chevrons for contrast.

The good thing is that we will have choice. People wanting dark future gothic titan will go for the GW range; people wanting more strict "clean" sci-fi models will prefer FW ones.
A small thing tho : the FW warhound is really exceptional in details, and the FW model can be assembled in about any position you want, wich is a very good feature that cannot be considered a matter of taste. However, i hear unexperienced modeller complain about how it make the mini more difficult to use, so maybe it's good that the GW one is "simpler" in that regard.
And just a precision : when i talked about the "weapon mount" on the warhound, i refered to the way the weapon were mounted, not the weapon itself; the old metal one were the same for warhound and reaver anyway.
by the way, the "squary" design isn't the old one; it's a rather new one on the contrary, which originated in the mk3 warlord; but original titans were much more akin to this warhound for their shape.
I like both design "school" and will probably buy some of this new warhounds... the 6 (old) ones i have are more than enough, but this one is much better in my taste, and at least different.

Hi!
Overall the FW minins are very good, they have clean lines and are pleasing to the eye, I haven't seen one yet I REALLY dislike, but they are somwhat "plain". This is good however for those who like to convert since its easier to add things on them.

And the other weird thing about FW models which takes some getting used to, is picking up a large titan to find it doesnt weigh anything beasue its resin.
Its a mental thing, but I miss the heavy lead of big bad models!

Sorry if thishas been brought up in another thread but i couldn't really find it anywhere.
Anyway I thought I'd create a topic about Stormwind. What do we know about it for facts, what do people speculate, what do you hope will be in it?
I know it is supposed to cover the basic Eldar army list -Biel Tan was it? In addition it was supposed to include the Death Korps of Krieg list, Feral Orks list and an yet unspecified SM list. Now: Did anyone see the Blood Angles Dreadnought conversion on yesterdays pic of the day on the SG page? When you also consider that therre was a Baal pattern predator among the resn test pieces from Games Day I am beginning to speculate werther the "unspecified SM list" could be Blood Angles??? It would seem logical for it to be the Black Templars as there's already a test list for them in the vault + some of the minis are paintd as BT but then again the above does suggest that a Blood Angles list isn't too far awaay either...
Cheers!

Its impossible to say. What you say is right, and it could be either. I think I would bet on BT rather than BA, purely for the reason of no experimental list available for the Blood Angels yet.
I'm more interested in how the Eldar list is going. Seems to me that there's a lot of work still to do.

Its definitely Biel Tan. Aspect warriors will be plastic E40K editon ones with the exception of the Shining spears.
Thats basically all the official definites to date. The 21 pack range could be well guessed at, but quantities & setup are obviously reliant on the army list which is still in testing.
Both points for which SM army are as valid as each other, but I would go with BTs. The BA drednought was a conversion, so implies nothing, but the BAAL is a valid point. Similarly, The BT painted minis are as I have said before, Mark Bedford's (the sculptors) personal force & arent any more official in terms of a studio army than my second Warhound will be However, the army list is already in testing so to me this is the single most reliable pointer at this stage.

Well they still need to sculpt some more aspects, as the current sprue only has DR, SH, SS, WS and HB. They need to add Fire Dragons, Dire Avengers and Shining Spears.
I dont see them forcing you to convert all of those to be able to field them.
I wonder if we'd then also see aspect specific exarchs? I doubt it.
