Every time I check this thread the picture just keeps getting better and better. I really like the action pose now. Great work Stug, keep going.

Nah, don't rush it.  The supplement ain't gonna be finished for awhile.  And I appreciate the pain staking process on these things.  Often times the perspective doesn't look right to anyone else but you because YOU are seeing the finished project in your mind's eye.  I remember Randy and I having discussions about his WIPs.  I kept telling him they were off and he kept telling me to wait till the end.  And in the end he was right most of the time. :cool:

Is there anything else that can be done to help towards this supplement such as fluff pieces, scenarios, playtesting, etc

(Sorry to hijack but I saw no other relevant thread.)

Done a bit more work tonight on this - now up to 2hrs and 20mins. I wish I could spend more time, but things like food, DefCon and life keep getting in the way!  :)



I know what you mean about rushing things Mosc - it's a real failing of mine. I always get halfway through something and then start coming up with other ideas that I want to explore!!  :oh:

As it is I think I'm pretty much committed to this pic now - I really do aim to finish it. Enough of the sketching now, it's time to start working on the lighting and colours. Oh, and a background too.   :agree:

I find most of my favorite pieces are the ones that have lots of little things in the background.   :)

It's always nice to be able to look at a picture and keep picking out details.

I'm very tempted to expand this pic, keep the Guardsman in the foreground but add more charging Cadians behind him. Maybe add a Titan in the background, a Chaos super heavy and some fortifications. Make it slightly autumnal as well, lotsa floating leaves and oranges and browns....  :cool:

Ok, more work done - now 3hrs 05mins in!



Added a few more bits in the background including a couple more peeps, a Leman Russ MBT and a Warhound titan. Also cleaned up a few details.

Yeah, the big one's the Emp-class - the Warhound is to it's left, just by it's foot.   :tongue:
