Houserule?

A formation cannot choose to ignore lending support fire to avoid getting a BM(it can choose not to fire but still gets the BM anyway).

If house rules are used(I'm speaking generally here),they are great fun if that's what player want to add to their games and no one anywhere should stop others using them but it does detract from testing of experimental lists.

Any result is slightly skewed when house rules are used,no matter how slight the house rule affects things it still has an effect otherwise why use them.

Once again it was a great report and a fun read,thanks for the effort put in to writing it up  :agree: .

We didn't use a house rule. We missed/forgot the correct rule.

Ya, I always thought that you only got the 1BM for lending support if the assault fails. I didn't realize you get it for just being within 15cm of an assault your side lost.

So 2-0 I guess DS? Blitz and Take and Hold.

I haven't used a bio-titan yet mainly because I haven't assembled them. Other than that, I like the wave of bugs feel with this army list. I've used it a few times and the amount of stands I can put on the board is intimidating I'm told.


I can't imagine why Dave?.. eh, ok I can. Just looking at the first two photos. That is a lot of Bugs to face down. DS you poor sod. When you get your Bio-Titans up and scuttling be sure to post a Battle Report first chance.

DS faced with this Tyranid army again what would you change, if anything?

No need to feel sorry for me. I've beaten Dave's bugs plenty of times.

Right now any changes I make to my AdMech army would have nothing to do with facing Tyranids. I'm in the process of play testing the list and trying different units to see how they feel. I try not to choose a list for taking on Tyranids only, but my Titans usually have a weapon load that assumes I'll be fighting them, hence few MWs and no TKs. However, if I specifically tailored my army to fight bugs, I would probably ditch the Lemans, because they're awful in CC, and take more Praetorians.

I liked the killability of the Warhounds against bug infantry. I think they make my provisional MUST list so far.
