Also how did the FW's get close enough to the bikes to be ff'ed? Do you frown on pre-measuring or they marched to get so far forward etc.
To answer your other question, we ususually don´t premeasure but I do it in these dry-runs since I can play only so many mindtricks on myself.
Marching the FWs into the ruins was a mistake, them getting wiped out was bad luck though. I´m still learning Tacu tactics here, getting the Stingrays gutted was a similiar overly bold move, you just can´t do that with Tau.
Same can be said on some of my P-T handling suffered from this as well, I used them like I would have used a Windrider Warhost when they had neither the save nor the FF value.
On a more positive note, 2 formations of FW in the centre pretty much prevented the BL from taking the T&H, the Bikers did not dare to rush the overwatching Tau unless they were massively suppressed, with the armour decimated only the Banelord could do this and that had spent its missiles by T4.
