Nah PG it had taken over an hour to get underway, Gavin just wanted a game :) And note I got in with my thoughts first, poor for the agenda that!

Irondeath and PG,

At the time of the game, the PDF we had downloaded from the SG site only mentioned "units" not "Daemonic units", which we read to mean anything nearby. Since the GD had barged into the centre of the IG formation, this actually covered most of the IG units and caused what we took to be a skewed effect - which is why we reset it. As TRC said, there is no 'agenda' as such other than to test what seem to my uninitiated eye as being OTT as I have explained on the boards, and which have been listed as items for testing.

Personally, I must admit I quite like the idea of sucking everything into the void, it has a "Buffy" feel to it; why should weaker mortals remain unharmed while greater powers are affected?? :p

Andy was sent an updated PDF ages ago with a lot of changes and it doesn't surprise me that it never got posted.

Maybe I should post it myself

It was originally but was changed on the assumption that you shouldn't benefit from a critical effect

No need - I checked again this evening, and found a corrected version is now in place, though it must have been put up relatively recently.

Well thank goodness for that.

Who has actually done better in tourneys using BL?

If you check the Championship thread, you will find that you, Nathan, Mark Hargrave and Kevin Bott have all finished in the top four positions in the Uk tournaments to date (though not at the same time  )

My point was - who has done appreciably better in tournaments than when using a different army to BL?
Nathan has done as well/if not better with marines
Mephiston has comparable results with Eldar/IG/BL
Myself with marines/BL
The only times I have done better than normal (ie won rather than coming 3-6th) is when 6 of the 9 games at those tourneys (London 08 and Gw GT 07)have been against players who have never played BL

Exactly.

With the old crit I ran into a situation were a Bloodthirster detonated after barging deep into an IG formation, winning me the assault although the BT went down.
