Hi!
Hehe, I've seen it, and it isn't pretty. Being the way I am (i.e blunt) it usually doesn't last....

I've played at least three different women players of Epic (2 single, 1 married).
All of them had their boyfriends / husbands drag them into it, but then decided they liked it too.
I see a lot of women playing RPGs, but many fewer in miniatures.
Generally speaking, I prefer male-only miniatures groups so that the more desperately single of us men won't start acting oddly.
In RPGs, I prefer to have some women in the game. It's almost always a plus.
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

Wow, that's pretty good. You have seen it all. I still haven't played with more than one other person, yet.

Hi!
You got me beat Maksim, I've never played with a female gamer in any form. It must be an interesting experience.

Primarch and Signius (and anyone else interested too),
I like playing RPGs (and even many board games) with women. Generally speaking, women have better imaginations, or at least, use their imaginations much better than many male RPG gamers. Playing board games, they tend, as a generalization again, to be a little more light-hearted and less competetive than men. I also like the way that having a woman or two in the group will "tone down" the more "macho" of gaming guys. I'm not much of one for profanity and less comes out when single men are around women (unless I guess they are sailors! ).
Speaking miniatures wise, I haven't seen much of an effect from women other than toning down the "macho" guys and... many, maybe most women who get into miniatures gaming tend to like the artistic aspect (AKA painting) of the hobby so they end up with some beautiful armies. One of my friends' wives has one of the most attractive VOID armies I have ever seen.
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.
P.S. Signius, E-mail me offboard and I'll remedy your lack of experience playing other people. I'll drive down to your place in a weekend or two. I've got a girlfriend down your ways anyway. I might even be able to drag down Chern with me and possibly Kristian (local Epic players to Northern California).
P.S.S. Primarch, I think I'm ready to visit PR now too. ?

Hi!
Yes, I agree that having women at the RPG table tends to curb a man's "basic" instincts. But that's precisely why I DON'T prefer to game with them. You need to understand that at my work (hospital), the enviorment has been pretty much "castrated" due to harassment suits and such. You really have to watch what you say and do to an almost ridiculous level.
When I game I want the total opposite, I want a testosterone driven, belly belching, gas spewing, curse spouting good time. I like women as much as the next man, but during gaming time I like being in a crowd who're less "touchy". That's personal preference of course, but my preference nonetheless.
Primarch.

True. However, there are touchy men out there as well. Party-poopers they're called. ?

Possibly, however, I don't think they want to be involved in our epic lives. Interupt them sure but, not part of. From what I have experienced from the women around me is, they either think it is too violent or that I am just playing with toys. The latter being, at least in part, true however, the women I know want nothing to do with gaming. They just ani't with it.
