It really depends on how much detail you want on your miniatures. The GW plastics are originally made as 3-ups ( or 5 ups or whatever they're called) and then scaled down when they cut the plastic mould. This means that then miniatures generally hold more detail than an original 6mm sculpt (unless your name is Will Hayes or Drassannar

)
That said the DRM and EW ranges are very nice models so if you like the looks I say go for it

I will be seen as being biased, since I work for DRM, but regarding detail:
The earliest sculpts Doug had done are up there with the standard 6mm ranges in terms of detail. They're very good, but not outstanding.
The More recent sculpts however, Doug has upped the bar in his requirements and bob naismith matched the requests with some great work.
Having painted miniatures from every 6mm manufacturer I am aware of (and indeed, for a number of them), The Jungle troops for example, are among the best 6mm figures to paint from any manufacturer - I'd advise those miniatures to anyone!
They have individually characterful faces & you dont get that very often!
Anyway - blatent advert over - Please send us pics if you do go with DRM - we love seeing other's work on them!
