First off the Ordinatus (+Barrage Missile) finally had the chance to unlease its main weapon. It targetted the Chosen on the hill and finally passing its activation roll to sustained fire. The chosen were caught by the missile as well as the bike formation located next to them.
All the stands in the Chosen formation were covered by the template, but only 1 stand (Obliterator) was killed. This still placed 4BM on the formation which was enough to break them. 1 Bike was hit, but it saved. However the 3 BM placed on the formation were enough to break the formation.
So 1 shot (on to 2 damaged formations) resulted in both formations being broken - result
Retaining the remaining Ordinatus advanced to get a line of fire onto the right flank Deathwheel, only to miss again with its Volcano Cannon. VCs have not done me any favours in this game.
Responding to the AMTL's initial actions the Fallorn Hope on the left flank engaged the lone warhound on the AMTL's Blitz - 4 BL hits caused 2 wounds whilst the warhound also hit twice and killed 2 CSMs. However the warhound then lost the roll off and broke.
The AMTL then took over again with the central left warhound doubling around the Raptors to take the BL Blitz and fired on the raptors (including the Plasma Blastgun shots). This resulted in 2 dead Raptors with the final stand breaking and running away from the warhound.
Retaining the final Warhound doubled towards the Chosen and taking control of an objective fired upon the Chosen. 1 MW hit was saved and a single stand was lost due to the BM placed on them.
This left the AMTL with Take and Hold & Blitz, however there were plenty of BL activations left.

BL Retinue with Defilers doubled out of the wood that they had been hidding in all game towards the Warhound in the centre. 17 shots, 1 void shield and 2 wounds later the Warhound was broken and the objective was retaken by the BL.
In a last valiant attempt to reduce the size of the victory the Imperial Navy sent in the Thunderbolts to attack the BL Fallorn Hope on the AMTL Blitz. All shots missed placing only 1 BM and leaving the formation still holding the Blitz.
This left the BL with 3 activations of which they then preceeded to fail 2 of them.
The game finished 3-1 to BL (BTS, Blitz & Take & Hold) , AMTL (Blitz)

I always love going back and playing what if sernarios, they never go as planned.
I did it the other day with fluffy, seeing what would of happened if his plasma lord didn't explode at the end of tun 1. 10 MW2+ shots, 2 dead russ.
