I added Ork weapons. You will note that Big Shootas are a mix of Wh40k Big Shootas and Rokkit Launchas.
Big Guns are a mix of Kannons, Zzap Guns and Lobbas.

The result is very similar to the rulebook values. Not to surprising to me and shows, that the system works well :)

Now i included all the weapons which fallunder Small Arms in Epic and added a system why they are small arms.

And then i realised: 18" Rapidfire weapons start with Strength 5 and quals to Range 15cm with AP5+

So theoretically there could be a 18" Strength 4 Rapidfire weapons which is 15cm AP6+ in Epic.
Which would be Bolters, Shootas, etc. Well  Orks have Ballistik Skill 2 and this this will fall to AP7+ and thus will still be Small Arms.
But what about Bolters? Or Pulsrifles or Gaussflayers?

At least the last two have already a shooting attack in the experimental armylist.
So there is precedence.

What would you think about SpaceMarines Tactical and Devastator squads having an additional 15cm AP6+ shot?

Certainly this rule would only count if the Rapidfire Strength 4 weapon is the standard weapon for the rank and file trooper (not like the Plasmagun).

My reasoning is that, unless told to go and dig out the enemy (ie engage) then most of the time they would only give suppressing fire, shooting in the general direction they think the enemy is.

The only expectation I would give are the necrons who have no care about living (since they not) or dying (since they can't) and slowly march forwards laying down a mass of gauss fire in front of them.

Heck I would even remove firewarriors ranged attacks and make them CC- FF3+ to represent their reliance on firepower over closecombat.

If you do want to give them a ranged ability then make it AP6/7+ and either

only allow them to fire when sustaining or on over watch (the only time such small weapons will dpo anything)

or give them a special rule suppressive fire
suppressive fire
The small arms carried by most troopers are not capable of dealing much damage at range, lacking the hitting power or accuracy of heavy weapons, but they can put out a large volume of fire forcing the enemy to keep their heads down.
Units they are hit by a weapon with the suppressive fire ability and fail their armour save (if they have one) are not removed as casualties, but do generate BM as if they were.

Hmm..don't know if it is a good idea to allow some troop type a different attack whith the same weapon type as another.

Besides: New version is up with Eldar weapons including rules why some of the weapons are as they are (exspecially Distortion Cannons and the like).
And why some units such as Dark Reapers don't have 5 shots but only 2 :)

The Melta Cannon i had forgotten i have added too which caused a slight adjustment to the Melta rule.

I'm not quite sure what you mean?

What I ment was that some small arms weapons (bolters, pulse rifles possible shootas) get an AP6/7+ attack (possible 6+, since 7+ would be a new thing) that can only fire on OW or sustain, or which  can only place BM and not remove enemy units.

Ah ok. I had it understood so that only Tau and Necron should be able to do so and others not :)

No in your system everyone one can shoot their "small arms weapons"

In my idealised version of epic only Necrons can, due to their relentless nature and Tau infantry lose their ranged pulse rifle shots but get a FF boost.

The last one would behard, becaue the Tau delevopers are very reluctand to improve the FF of the Tau because of design philosophy which forces the Tau to shoot their enemys to death on range instead as in firefights :)

But then: Persuading anyone to use my weapon-transfer system would be difficult :D

EDIT: Can i ever post a posting without editing the typos out afterwards?... :D

FINISHED!

Finally i finished to convert all Wh40k weapons into Epic: Armageddon stats with my system.
Please have a look at it and mention if i have forgotten a weapon or miscalculated the values.
If the system has hole sinit please report them too so that i can fix them and/or spell it out clearer/easier.

As you will note i didn't add a system to bestow Extra Attacks to a units FF or CC attack if a weapon translates to a (15cm) Small Arms weapon.
But perhabs i will add this in the future :)

Thank you for your time :)

I've only quickly looked at the stats, mainly the nid ones, and I think you might have he hierophan bio cannons a bit too weak.  I have ripped apart squads of marines with them and even destroyed a baneblade with a single salvo (okay it didn't lose any Dc but was immobilised and had no guns left :D ).

Hmm solution would be that the number of AT shots increases in smaller increments than the AP shots.

For the heiophant biocannon.  I could see it going to a sngle MW2+ shot.

A 40K heirophant with two of these will more often than not kill two tanks a turn or two squads of infantry.

If you look at one gun
8 shots
BS3
4 hits
against infantry
S10 AP3 Vs any infantry toughness and most armour
3 1/3 dead
Only termies stand a chance against this thing

against AV12 tanks
2 2/3 penatrating hits
1 1/3 dead tanks (4+ on the penatrating table = dead)
against AV13 tanks
2 penatrating hits
1 dead tank
against AV14 tanks
1 1/3 penatrating hits
2/3 of a dead tank

So on average a heirophant biocannon should kill about 1 tank a turn.

With MW2+ this is almost garunteed apart from against the 4+RA (AV14) tanks which it will kill jut under half a tank a turn.
