The 40K Reich!
Call the Americans... Oh wait...
After downsizing their forces and having troops in Korea, Bosnia, Kosovo, Afghanistan, Iraq, etc., etc., there's nothing left! ?
Well, maybe the Tau & Kroot will have to do this job?

Done with some supporting fluff!
I'll try to get some good pics and send them later; my camera is pretty bad at closeups as you can see. At least you get the idea.

Just because I used German Western Front Ambush camo scheme... ?
Gotta admit: love em, hate em, beat in two World Wars...
The Germans make nice Panzers!

Thanks. ?
Actually I finished up the Mk.2 a few weeks ago and found its' camo scheme (the full ambush scheme with the dots all over) to be TOO effective. The mini lost all shape and became a blob on the table at about 0.5m distance; i.e. the camo worked and disguised its' shape!
I wasn't quite sure if that was what I wanted so I went a different way for its Mk.1 Squadron mates; this is a "partial ambush" scheme as the dots don't go all over. I think this gives a better effect on the table as it still looks like a camo painted tank, but doesn't thave all the cool detailing dissappear on you!
I used my pics of the Jagd-Panther at the Bovington Armour Museum as inspiration; a place I cannot recommend highly enough if you are ever in south coast UK. It's the one mentioned in the intro to the original Imp. Armour Vol. 1 book.

Is the Mk.2 Baneblade the one Citadel did for E-40k?
I thought it to be much bigger than the Mk.1 but judging from the pictures it seems to be just slightly bigger, certainly not enough to irritate on tabletop.

Not sure of the actual timings of release, but I've just measured and they are exactly the same length. The Mk.2 is a few mm wider (i.e. only just).
It's the Mk.3 version that was done in resin by FW that is waaaay bigger. Sorry, I don't have one or I'd put them all together for a comparison photograph.

Yes, I have all versions of L/Russes, Baneblades & Shadowswords, etc., and there clearly is a size difference between G/W and F/W.
But as I said, I use the French '40 example, to explain it...
You can look at German AFVs in WWII, a Panzer IV is bigger than a III, and they are similar in design. And a Tiger II looks like a Big Panther.
All that being said, I think this is another case of F/W & G/W "doing their own thing" in a vacuum. I'm sure Tony C. does not call J.J. and say what they are going to make or do before they do it. "Artist Driven" remember...

That sure is nice terrain, Jimbo...
- Do you have a "How I made my terrain" section on your website?
I had a look but couldn't seem to find one...
I got lost in there!
