Support specialist games. Think of specialist games as extra armies that require support. That's 7-8 extra projects to think about. We are still releasing extra miniatures for these games - the Warmaster Araby army, for example, or the forthcoming BFG Mechanicus ships. However, if we continued the level of support that they had when they were launched, or when Fanatic was at its height, then the question is simple: which Army book would you like us to delay? Also, it is entirely impractical for us to carry the range of specialist games in our stores, or in independents for that matter, due to the sheer size. Being direct-only at least keeps these games available, and is not a deliberate attempt to undermine them. Occasional releases and features in WD will highlight the specialist games and bring them to people's attention.
Within the current depression, the promise of "occasional" releases is a but spark in the darkness.
