Neal,
Tough call. I haven't thought of anything yet.

When I'm not satisfied with a paint job, I strip it and start over. It's draconian, but it works for me ...

...However, the varnish might be rather difficult to get off, depending on what sort you used Neal...

Neal, I will pray for you! I did something like that once and had to start over.

Getting a tough layer of varnish off a plastic mini can apparently be done by painting on nail varnish remover and doing it layer by layer - It will take an age and I haven't tried it myself, but it might be worth a try.

Sorry, I haven't got anything else constructive to add to what has been said above, but, at least, your conversion work will be OK if you have to strip it and repaint it.

Dang.
I guess I'm going to try the paint-over first and see how it starts to shape up.
The varnish is not so thick it obscured the detail, just enough to turn white. Also, it's matte, so there shouldn't be a problem with a second coat of paint adhering.
Thanks for the suggestions. I'll let you know how it goes and/or post final pics.

Hi!
Something similar happen to me sometime again but with pain spilling on the models, as you mention it was not thick enough to abscure detail and a prime and another paint job work fine in that case.
Good luck!
