Well, I guess I'll take what I can get !!! With the Stormtroopers & Valkyries (both F/W & G/W will probably make these aircraft!) I'll make an Air Assault Bn (like my old unit in the 101 !) ...

I wouldn't eliminate all hope for Cadians, since they seem like the perfect IG sublist for the Chaos expansion.
And that'l be far enough down the road that they might feel inclined to release some new guard stuff.
I always thought the plastic generic IG looked an awful lot like the Cadians though.

The other thing I am getting fired up about for EA is the new LatD List... ?Coupled with the great artwork in EoT Codex, I am pretty keen to have some mutants and cultists.
So what to use for mutants in Epic scale??? ?They would be sods to convert!

Maybe they'll make Mutants & Big Mutants? ?
I saw that the new list has no Cultists Limo!? ?
We'll have to wait and see...

I'm trying to build up a LatD list, although the sheer number of infantry models required may prove to be problematic. So far I'm using the beastmen as mutants, oldschool guard as traitors.
I'm representing big mutants by infantry stands led by a SM2nd edition plastic robot. If you look at the stats, they actually match the 'cultists with robot' statline pretty well. I've also considered using chaos squats as big mutants (oh the irony), but that seems a bit desperate.
I haven't a clue what to use for land transports, since theoretically they have to be pretty big. I considered using old ork plastic battlewagons (the ones with the skull faces), but those don't look like they could fit in 1 robot, let alone 2 and 8 beastmen.
I wish there was an option for big mutants without guns, then I'd have a use for this stack of minotaurs and trolls. I also wish Tzeentch got some cool daemon engines... wah wah wah ?

I actually prefer to paint the inf figures than the vehicles
As for trolls and Minotaurs- they are going into my mutant stands for sure; who says ALL the mutants have guns? I am also going tonstick some figs cut in half , maybe some orks as well, just to vary the body shape/size and give them a more Horde-like appearance.
Well that a plan...first I have to finish up my IG force...then again what army is ever 100% finished?
