I imagine, we'll see IG Stormtroopers.

It would be nice to see Steel Legion, Cadians, etc..

I wonder if they'll make new Thud Guns and Rapiers? ???

Hi!

I'd definitely like to see more small support weapons like the Rapiers and Tarantulas redone and released.

Taz and Gang,

OK, I'm re-invigorated with my IG stuff after seeing the new Death Korp Seige Regiment lists.

I rather like the new list as well. It's based on the Playtest Rules v10 list that we've seen before except for the fact that it has been renamed as Death Korps.

I still need to finish the Jopallis and E-A Orks before I move on to a new project. The Jopallis are almost done being textured and then I'll be close to painting them. The Orks need their infantry to be further detailed, washed, and inked.

Huzzah for the return of the Thudd Gun and Rapiers!

I was happy about this too since I have had a new Thud Gun conversion planned for some time! The Tarantulas are still missing though, aren't they?

What to use as seige infantry then?

Death Korps looks good with Valhallans. There are proxies galore as well.

Does this mean we can expect to see some new IG infantry types... do you think?

I sure hope so!

They've not been mentioned before...

The Death Korps figures in the E-A web site colour background, but the Death Korps siege regiments have never been mentioned before to my knowledge.

I think Max's proxy pics will come into themselves here...

I hope so!

At least my choice of what proxy to use as a 88mm AA Gun is easy!

Do you mean the W.W.II German piece of the same caliber?

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

Yeah - I've always loved the 'old German 88.

I already have a battery or two ready and painted up in Feld...

I mean Codex Grey! :D

I asked Jervis about the new Epic Stormtroopers and he said that they were working on what they should look like. So I do know that there will be some.

I do hope they look better then the last GW attempt at Stormtroopers.

I agree, GW isn't that original as some people may think. All you need to know about is WWI and II and most of their unit designs are "familiar".

Tas,

Yeah - I've always loved the 'old German 88.

Under the proxies thread, there are 88's listed with URLs. The GHQ ones are great if not expensive. Add a few GW infantry and it could easily become an IG piece.

I prefer the FLAK-43s (AA 88mm varaints) to the PAK-43s (AT variants). The AA version looks more monstrous. I may have the designations wrong so correct me, guys, if there are any W.W.II buffs out there.

I already have a battery or two ready and painted up in Feld... I mean Codex Grey!

I always think Feldgrau as well!  :D

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

The original FLAK variant is my fav too (and also the one the Earthshaker look like).

Thanks for the proxy tips - I have some Irregular ones, which I liked because they have crew figures manning the guns.

Pics to follow when I get a good camera - promise! :D

I definitely would love (!) to see new Infantry types, Stormtroopers, Cadians etc...

After all the E-A hype, that would be a nice touch! :;): ?

And I said this on T/S's old site too, a lot of G/W IG vehicles look like German or Russian WWII AFVs, but I don't have any problem with that. :D ?

The PAK 43/41 was contructed to present a smaller signature and be less a target, while the original version was designed for AA use and required a larger mount to be able to traverse 360 degrees to track aircraft. The GHQ site has great pics of both! ?

Either way the G/W & F/W Boyz are stuck in W.W.II!!!

Storm Trooper airmobile companies.

Rough rider dismountable infantry.

Hopefully the Death Korp, to be used as the VHPC!

Erm, that's my current wish list.

One more infantry type, maybe Cadians?

(We have Valhallan, Catachan & 'olde')

Here are some links:

Proxies for Epic Minis Page 2

E-A Militia / Hive Gangers / PDF Forces

The 210mm, a WWII German, US or Russian FA from GHQ.

http://www.ghqmodels.com/M/item/R31

The 85mm AAA, the same from GHQ, too. ?

http://www.ghqmodels.com/M/item/G69

Tarantula - Brigade has a great piece for that. ?

Thud Gun - GHQ Ger. sIG 33 or UK 25 lber.
http://www.ghqmodels.com/M/catalog.php3
http://www.ghqmodels.com/M/item/G124
http://www.ghqmodels.com/M/item/G123

The "Days of Empire" site has a "Sentry" gun that would make a good "Rapier" or Flak gun too... ? ?

Look under the Days of Empire line at this URL:
http://www.tin-soldier.com/doe/small.html

Brigade and Scotia have generic mortars and Days of Empire has a good "Rapier" proxy, that I mentioned before.

Plus OGRE has a good static Heavy FA piece. That OGRE site is worth another look, too.

Brigade's generic mortar:
http://www.brigademodels.co.uk/NoFrames ... -5001.html

Scotia mortars under neutral equipment:
http://www.scotiagrendel.com/scotia/scotianeutral.html

Days of Empire Rapier proxy (Flack VIII or The Sentry):
http://www.tin-soldier.com/doe/small.html

OGRE site:

Here are some neat OGRE FA pics. Enjoy!!!

Warehouse 23: Ogre Miniatures: Minotaur Howitzer

Here are the two SJG infantry heavy weapons. One looks like a cannon or laser and the other is a set of missile tubes. The ?heavy weapons models would definitely look good with IG.
