Looks like a good list of name updates. I'll work them into it next time I update it.

Lots of good stuff in there Vermis. Here's my favorites: Skimming Slann - Xlan Great Mage
Upgrade Slann - Xlan Mage Chief
Saurus commander - Oldblood (please verify if it's OK for these guys to have some form of the "leader" ability) Saurus heavy infantry - Saurus Scar-veterans
Saurus Temple Guard - no change.
Skinks - no change
Chameleons - no change
CC walker - Kroxigor (don't like using just the name Krox?)
Shooty walker - 'Salamander' would fit, redundant names don't seem to bother GW, why should we care. triturus or drake OK also
Battle walker - Carnosaur
Support walker - Stegadon
Heavy skimmer - Arcanodon
AA skimmer - Toxote sounds good, what does it mean?
Missile skimmer - I like Onca, can you try building on that (or just leave as is)? What does it mean?
Teleporter skimmer - Siclidon
Light skimmer - Naja, again, what does it mean?
Flying temple - Great Tlax or Great Temple
Drop Ship - Terradon
Transport aircraft - quetzl
Attack aircraft - coatl
Cold One riders - Gelidus cavalry sounds good, what does it mean?
I still think we should try the spawn names for different Saurus.
I think mixing Faux Aztec/Saurian with Latin derived names should be OK. Esp. if they sound good!
Do we need the Skink Chief and Skink Commander?
Lots of good stuff. Hope some of these clear the others, I really like them.

Hello everyone. I am the friend consectar sent the list to for some criticism. After an intial glance through, it does look okay. Points wise, may need a little adjustment here and there, particularly in the artillery segment. For example, the support walker formation has a combined 12bp firepower at 120cm range, indirect, for 450 pts. The IG Artillery Co has 9bp at 180cm indirect for 650 pts. Now, the Basilisk does have the ability to direct fire should you fail the activation roll, but still....these may be too cheap. Playtesting would be fun tho. I do like the battlescreen/regeneration concepts, although I don't know how you would dent one of the bigger vehicles, even with massive firepower. Hmmm, maybe an Imperator head to head with the Flying Temple? That would be fun. More to follow as time allows me to delve further into things.....

Statistically if you bring a unit of Shadowswords and more or less anything else to make up the full 750 or 1000 points of the two really big warengines, you'll do better then 1-2 DC per turn. Around 2-3 I think I figured. Which means you CAN kill it, but it'll take a while. Which is kinda what I was going for. The best way to deal with them is really to just shoot them as hard as possible until they either break or die. After all a single Flying Temple is 1/3 of your cost at 3000 points AND all of your war-engine/aircraft allowence.
For the artillery: Remember IG can also field Manticores in companies. 650 for 18 BP, Slow Firing, Disrupt weapons with a 300cm range while indirect firing. Essentially they can hit anything they feel like and drop 5 BMs just for shooting at someone, plus more for actually doing damage. The Artillery in this list is essentially the same except it has less then half the range, drops their Slow Firing and Disrupt abilities, is fielded in smaller quantities (Making it easier to break and destroy) and costs comparatively about the same (I think I actually used the point-value of an IG artillery company to figure out how much they should cost.) I'd consider them on-par with the Manticore. Basilisks are really not taken for their ability to do BP, though they're nice for that. They're taken because you get 9x 4+/4+ shots with a range of 'Wherever they feel like'.

Hmmm....like I said, may need adjustment, may not. I would love to figure out some proxies, or some counters, or something to playtest the list.

CON: Oldblood, Kroxigor, Salamander, Toxote, Onca - uh... *shrug* The Oldblood, anyway... I'd veer away from Leader abilities, but I don't know how tactically sound that would be.
Naja - I'd assume it's a reference to the Hindu naga (seventh from the end).
Gelidus - latin for cold, frosty.
Skink chief and commander - oops. Forgot about them. Though... I'm not sold on them. I think the skink mage could represent whatever skink leader at that scale. And where did the idea of a skink commander come from?
'Lo, Iblis.

Interesting site ..."V" ... historical tie-ins are always neat and adds "flavor" to the game ...

Ok, then I'm on board with Naja & Gelidus.
And where did the idea of a skink commander come from? Not sure, might have been from Warmaster. Have to recheck my resource material.
If he's unneeded that's fine, I just thought we might be a little shy in the leadership dept, but what do I know.(we need a ditsy looking emoticon for here) That's Ilushias area of expertise.

We might be, but I'm not TOO worried about it. I could add something like Scar Veterans to the list as some kind of Commander for Saurus (Not Leader, just Commander), since as it stands there are very few characters in the list, and I believe only the Supreme Commander has the commander ability (mostly because I don't picture the army doing a lot of combind assaults).

Looks like there have been a couple more downloads. I wonder if they are new customers or repeaters? Maybe we'll see some feedback soon.
Vermis: My first DRM purchase was mostly infantry. I need to scrape up some more $$$ before I can buy some walkers to field a playtest army.
I've finished going thru the Rogue Trader, Lizardman, and Necron books. Should be able to get background typed up very soon.
I'll include a short section for each of the major races with my take on their reactions to and interaction with the Xlan.
