I love your work. It looks fabulous. I've seen several single WW rocket packs converted into Hunters and I really like your take on it. What did you use as the base of the Hunter missile launcher? Your magnetization project on the Wraithlord is great. I've already converted quite a few of my Titans to magnetic interchangeable weapons and hope to eventually convert them all to that standard. Andy Skinner and I once tried to get other interested in the magnetic weapons idea for Epic Titans, but there wasn't much interest at the time. By the way, welcome to the forum. I only remember seeing you post once or twice before. Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak. _________________ 6mm Sci-fi: http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/6mm ... nWarGames/ My Personal Blog: http://6mm-minis.blogspot.com/ |

Yes - That's the normal WW turret base, with a single rocket 'pod' glued directly onto it. Simple but effective. Maksim, Thanks for the praise on the magnetized WraithLord - it was a fun project and I'm very pleased with the end result. I've started buying Warlord bitz from GW and will be looking them over with an eye towards making some swap-able weapons kits. I'll post concepts and photos as they become available. ![]() You're right! - I haven't posted much (maybe once or twice)... but I've been lurking here for months, taking notes... ![]() Lastly, if you're interested, I have a couple more small photos of some of my (mostly finished) SM BA Epic minis... Dreadnaught ?? ...and... LRs & Dread The photos came out a little bright, but they give you a pretty idea of what they look like... Later, Larry. _________________ "Going into hyperdrive ...is unpleasantly like being drunk" "Well, what's so unpleasant about being drunk?" "Ask a glass of water" - HHGG |

My latest idea is to make a Vulture gunship to accompnay my Valkyrie transport flyers. ------------------------- Here's the plan: - Use the old Silent Death Salamander as the base fuselage. - Mold and cast some Squat Gyrocopter turbines to mount on the back of the chassis. - Chop off the booms from some old Scotia P-38s in my bitz box and mount under the wings. - Add a BFG turret to the nose. - Add random ordinance to the wings. ------------------------- Here's another idea: Why not use the Reaper 07070: Mark IV Ghast (2) as a good VULTURE GUNSHIP proxy? http://www.reapermini.com/store....ba89039 ------------------------- Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak. _________________ 6mm Sci-fi: http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/6mm ... nWarGames/ My Personal Blog: http://6mm-minis.blogspot.com/ |

It just dawned on me: These missile wings would work great for a LAND SPEEDER TYPHOON using the Epic-40k LAND SPEEDER chassis: http://www.reapermini.com/store....page=15 They are the wings off of the Reaper 07058: KODA Works Badger. The product is called 007058b: Badger Sprue. To see a full photo of the Reaper 07058: KODA Works Badger, use this link (It has a photo of a Badger with the missile wings extended): http://www.reapermini.com/store....&page=1 Happy converting! Did you make your "carapace laser" flak tanks yet? Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak. _________________ 6mm Sci-fi: http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/6mm ... nWarGames/ My Personal Blog: http://6mm-minis.blogspot.com/ |

I saw some of these Badgers at CONQUEST and they would work great for LAND SPEEDER TYPHOON conversions. I also though of possibly adding the canrds from the SM Thunderhawk to balance the missile launchers.
