Turn Three.

Seeing their position looking untenable (or just wanting a good fight!), the Warband assaulted Infantry Company Beta; after a lengthy assault they are repulsed with heavy casualties to both sides. Both the Warband and IC Beta are broken!
My gallant RoughRiders marched deeper into Ork-held territory and captured the Blitz objective.
Watching their Battlefortress being taken by the humies, the Stompas turned and fired upon my RegimetalHQ killing many men, the recently rallied DethKoptas fired as well breaking the formation.
My Artillery batteries both opened up on the Stompas, damaging not one, but adding enough BMs to break the formation. My StormHammer moved forward, firing upon the right flank DethKoptas. Seeing the DethKoptas taking fire from the Super Heavy, the Siegfrieds also fired upon them resulting in one of the contraptions being destroyed. Infantry Company Alpha doubled and captured the bunker, the Ragnoraks also double and take the Battlefortress.

Stompas rallied meaning the Battlefortress is contested.

SiegeMasters=Blitz, Bunker, Hold the Line.

Siegemasters 3 - Orks 0

Deep in enemy lines, the Rough Riders claim the Blitz objective.

Well, that was a good game.

It was BlackRabbit33's first game of Epic:Armageddon - his first taste of the game mechanics and rules.

My dice rolls went very well with no failed activations and some great saving throws, whereas BR33's dice failed him on some key activations and assaults.

Still to follow is the follow-up game with BR33's Orks versus my brother's Ultramarines.

Watch this space, I've got all the pics done so it shouldn't really take too long to get it posted.

(Hopefully):D

What stats did you use for the stormhammer? And no deisre to try to revised costs for some of the units? (Makes things a little fairer for the opposition!)

I just wanted to deny you that bunker.

I used the bog-standard StormHammer rules in the back of the rule book.

4x HBolter and 2xTwinDemolishers

How would the updated list effect the 1500pt list I used? (I tried looking for the updated list but couldn't ind it just now - at work!)

In essence the changes are
Regimental HQ - +75 points.
Infantry Companies - +50 points.
Hellhounds - -25 points.
Snipers - 1-2 units per upgrade, 25 points each.
Artillery Battery - no emplacements.
Flak - -25 points.
Artillery Company - -25 points, no transports.
Sappers ? add Small Arms ignore cover, Walker.
Marauders get fixed by rules review please.

So your list would have been effected by haviong no emplacements for the batteries and the cost of the infantry being 175 points more (so you probably would have had to drop the stormhammer).

Interesting report. I like your table a lot. Do you have more bits for that big corner hill?

Just interested. Why do you play long edges? Meaning that you deploy to short and are forced to run longer length? I would think that some armies would be more easier to play like this.

Now I'm soon starting to wait for 2k games (and onwards to 3k) from your end :D.

well one day stug will be coming over to my house with his brother in a massive game

it will be a 3 player

my 7000k of orks vs a mix force totaling around 6000k of seigmasters and ultramarines.

but i have to make some things for my table before that even happens.

but i know it will be ahella of a game
