I dunno.  Changing out all their heads for beakie heads would be mondo cool, but I don't know if I'm up for that level of fiddliness.

Brilliant minds think alike Neal! I was just looking at the rest of my IG assault troops the other day, thinking about how they coyuld be used as Raptors. I was thinking maybe adding the odd cc weapon such as beastmen axes, or swords from pieces of plastic. Im not sure if/how much converting the rest would need-heads in particular.

Cheers.

Hi!

While that would definitely be cool. The amount of work and extra epic pieces for conversion seems somewhat high.

It would probably be easier to simply sculpt new heads from Green Stuff. If you look at the beakie head on the Space Marine Assault trooper it is fairly basic. I think it can be achieved by placing a blob of Green stuff, making two "cuts at the bottom to make it pointy and then making one cut across (perhaps two at an angle) for the eyes.
Of course doing 40 of them might be a bit daunting. :p

That hasn't stopped me before :D :p :;): I don't think it would be too bad if it is just the odd figure in a total of 40 figures. But I see the problem if you were to do a Primarchload :D

Hmmm... I'm getting more and more turned on by this idea! Does anydody have some good pics of the 40k scale Raptors?

Cheers!

Hi!

Granted, everything in a smaller scale can be done.

But I usually think "big", so I definitely wont be doing such things.... :;): :p

Well I've been continuing to finish various odds and ends. Last night I sanded and painted the bases of a bunch of Blood Axes, Stormboyz and Kommandoz. I've also rebased the Goff orks which got damaged in the great "leaving-miniatures-in-hot-window-melting-disaster".

Cheers! :)

Yow! That Warboss sure looks like he's about to kick some serious butt...

Bought a box of Khorne Berzerkers, and am pretty satisfied with the contents. I'll sure find a use for old style Chaos backpacks, and the archaic armor will be perfect for my Raven Knights.

Started asking around a few forums if anyone could help me to find a head that will match my most recent uber-project.

Decided to paint my resculpted Callidus this weekend, going with red and black color scheme.

This weekend I'm starting what I call "operation Hermit". This means primarily cutting myself off from outside world to concentrate on finishing so many half-finished projects I have. Including this old website that cries for an update...

Dat'z un big'n'tuff warboss!

Me Feral Orks are being reinfor...refin... erh... getting a bigga mob with da addition of sum Squiggoths and Gargantuan Squiggoths.
Sum of dese wus actually converted by Krooza as I got them from him in a trade. The rest are various home made konvershuns.

I've added a howdah with the gun from a Forge World gunwagon which looks nicely in line with the FW gargantuan Squiggoth.
Since the paint job is pretty simple I should hopefully be able to finish them tomorrow and post a few pics.

Cheers!
:)

Looking forward to see 'em, warmaster. I'm taking an interest in the Ferals too.
Meanwhile, thanks to Honda's shipment of Titans, I'm also looking forward to revamp my Legio Mechanatos - especially the knights!
By the way, Honda, I PMed a reply with more on this topic - but your PM box is full!  :alien:

Sorry to dissapoint you V but even though the Squiggoths themselves are more or less finished it is now too dark to get some proper pics taken.
I also still need to paint some crew to put in the howdahs but with a little luck I can get that done before I snap the pics tomorrow. :;):

Cheers! :)

...And 'ere we are.

...And the two new gargantuan Squiggoths:

Like I said the paint jobs aren't going to win any Golden Demons but I think they're allright for now.

Cheers! :)
