Legion-4,

You make some interesting comments regarding Gargants so I'm going to make a new topic discussing Gargants so this one can return to discussing Eldar Titans.

The new topic is called: "THE Gargant Discussion"

Back to Eldar Titans, gentlemen!

Consider yourselves reprimanded, Legion-4 and Primarch!

You've killed too many threads with your chit-chat.

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

*breathes sigh of relief*

I wasn't totally against the reworked  E40K Eldar titans, but owning 6 of the older Phantoms/Warlocks, I'd welcome the chance to re-equip them. If I'm going to follow the E:A ltournament lists, that means a damn sight more Powerfists than they're currently packing.

As for the Revenants, just give me the original Titan Legions era ones. Neat.

I'm new here, as evinced by my rank so...Hi! This said, I started with Epic back with Adeptus Titanicus and have enjoyed all it's various guises since. I'm currently attempting to rebuild my Imperial and Eldar forces around the background written for my 40K armies, but also have sizeable Chaos, Ork and Squat (alright, AND Marines, but I don't like to talk about that...) collections.

Hi mate, I'm sure you'll enjoy the forums- we have a great community of mature and cool people here.....

If you are planning to rip of all your non-power fist arms on your titans just to line them up w/ the Epic:A lists, then, personally I wouldn't bother-
If you have one or two to use in 'tournament' games, then that will probably do, and you can gradually divine what the other ones will cost in points, and could use them in fun battles.... :D

Cheers!

Hi!

Okay Maksim, I'll behave... :{

Back to Eldar titans. I thought the old models really captured how elegant, agile and "alien" the Eldar motiff is. The wings, though delicate housed the holofields and the descriptions of how the image defracted as it ran are very cool.

The newer ones looked very odd, bulky, not agile or "beautiful", nor elegant. I think the original image really captured what it was for a model to look "Eldarish".

Funny how a model sculpt can capture that essence.

I also really like the combinations of a slim willowy frame, lots of jewels, curved non-panelled edges, and an odd Celtic styling to it. The wings are a wonderful touch. I'm very fond of Signius's conversion with wing arms.

I agree. Well put.

Shabbat Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

P.S.
I wish we could finally agree what Eldar architecture would look like!  :)

Hi!

I think eldar architecture should be in the same vein and that "beauty" and "art" superceeds form or even function. I would not envision no straight lines or angles, but smooth curves and a lot of bends. Sorta like the roofs of the kremlin with some Japanese architecture mixed in. Also I think natural vegetation would be part of the architecture.

I think in case of eldar architecture, as well as any other, is best left "ill-defined" so as to let players create their own vision on how it would look like.

I like all versions of the Eldar Titans, and with the different Craft Worlds there might be different versions of the Titans, too (?). ?

Plus I stick by my technology evolution theory... :D ?

However, the SM1/2 Eldar Titans do look very "alien"... :o

I bought the "new" Phantom  :{

I sold it on ebay and have not looked back

The old Phantom is so much more in the style I would expect of the eldar as they have been built up to be over the years.

Just my two cents...

Hi!

It would be interested to know, sales wise, which was the worse seller, the new Eldar Phantom or the Ork Mega-Gargant. I'm willing to bet it was the new Eldar Phantom. You can't give those away....

Primarch.

I'll bet that you're right.

At least with the Mega-Gargant you could use it as bit fodder! ?:D

What great news! ?

I hate the newer Eldar Titans, including the Revenant. I hate that too. I actually don't mind the old Revenant, but giving it a more jump pack look (like it is almost a flier) would be really good, rather than just long legs.
