Very nice insignia on the shoulder pad.

Just a little over one hour of work on the badge, believe it or not.
Not so sure about the flames from the bolter, the forward pointing looks great, the side vents a little weird.

I'm not too experienced with sculpting muzzle flashes - this was onkly my second attempt so far, and due to the technique I used the result was pretty random. I promise to improve.

I like the used shells cascading out of the bolter - what did you use for those (if it's not a trade secret!)?
No secret. I took a fine drill (IIRC, it's 0,5 or 0,75 mm) and drilled in the ejection port. Then I took some fine copper wire (got a fair amount of this), about 0,25 or so diameter, bent it carefully into shape (two pairs of tweezers plus my needle tool) to form the frame and glued it in there. Then I took some GS and carefully sculpted each bullet in succession. That took a fair amount of patience.

Today: Finished working on another release of Bloodrayne: Improved and a separate "utility mod", showing the total play time after beating the final game bosses (not displayed by norm).,

Hey all -

I've assembled my FireStorms... and what a drag *that* was. The mounting holes
for the weapons are a bit too big, so they flop around a bit before I hit the superglue
with accelerator. It calls for quick fingers... but I think I got all the weapons
*mostly* straight... ?:l

The tanks have been painted a base of dark (angels) green and all but two
(can you guess which ones? :)) have been drybrushed a lighter green.

PictureA ...and... PictureB

Actually, at this point, I turned them over to my buddy (and PaintingGuy?) to
finish them off. More pictures when they're done....

Hi,

Found this seminar report from this year's Gencon, a Q&A with JJ that sheds a little light on the current SG status above what we have seen on GW stuff.

GamingReport.com Link

Quote: "The system they (SG) are moving to now has a much smaller team, with web-based and direct support. They have cut out print magazines and will have less new minis. The new style online Fanatic was launched at the end of last year, and work continues on the website. There are two years worth of minis to be brought out as well. The plan is to take one to two game systems each year and do a big release for that system, and focus on that one particular system. There will be web splash releasing, coverage in White Dwarf Magazine, and links and online offers. The player-led organizations are a also strong support resource."

There is no real mention of Epic above the fact that the Feral Orks are next, but it's interesting all the same.

Cheers,
Freshmetal
