Oh yes! Indeed I do! :D

Will have to think about the Godzilla abilities though, and that is a LOT of activations. If he was to double move and attack each time, he could run up and down the board with impunity....not be the slow lumbering beast of legend.  How does it play?

Sounds fun... I wonder if I could get friends to play this... it would take lots of beer for bribery I think :D  Having multiple players on the defending side could increase the hilarity too.

In line with the "odd games we play" a friend of mine told me one over the weekend.  This is the same friend who used to order thousands of dollars of GHQ stuff at a time.

His gaming group used to play "Artillery golf."

They used an 8'x16' table and laid out a 9-hole golf course (greens, fairways, the works).  Each player had a golfer and a caddy - 1 arty piece and a light vehicle.

The goal, as in normal golf, is to complete the course with the fewest number of strokes.  Each shot (whether at the hole, or at your opponents) counts as one stroke.

Artillery hots can only be taken at targets in LoS of one of your units.  They are done with guess range, i.e. 36" up and 5 " over, and deviation dice.

The APCs they used had a .50-cal mount, so they could spot, provide point defense, or go on hunting expeditions to try to kill other peoples' units.

It invariably ended up with one person deciding they were too far behind to ever win and charging around the board trying to kill other players.  The other players were then trying to complete their game while avoiding the "berzerker" player, often sending their APCs to perform interception missions.

If a player died, they lost the hole they were on and had to go back to start the _previous_ hole over, so it was a pretty steep penalty for dying.

He said they would all laugh and admit it was completely goony, but they had a blast and usually played a big round every 6 months or so.

We're going to work out a ruleset to work with EA.  I'll be sure to post them when we do.

I got an "odd game" too:

It's called "WHIRLING WINDS"

Line up two rows of building about 50cm. It should look like a street or something.

Next take an ork gunwagon for each player in the game and place them at one of the ends of the street.

Next take a Whirlwind tank for each player participating.

Now - Using a scatter die to indicate the direction and a d6 to determine the distance the players will try to get to the end of the street and blow up a gunwagon in either CC or firefight.

Take it in turns to roll how far you get.
If you hit a building you lose your next turn.

Each whirlwinds has four rockets that can be used to shoot the other players whirlwinds. You can shoot at any point during any turn. The rocket hits on 5+.

If a whirlwind is hit by rockets the owning player loses his next turn. If he had already lost his next turn the rockets have no effect.

The first player to destroy a gunwagon wins.

What an Idea. I love it! ?

EDIT: Just had an idea, I could also set up a "Miniature Golf" version. Each hole could have some kind of silly thing they have to do. Hit the Ork Odd Boy or some such...

Too Funny!

Well Done Jaldon.

You should go post these rules in the Files section on our Yahoo Group for these kinds of Monsters.

I really didn't anticipate two pages of responses this fast, but it only goes to show ya what a good group of players post and play on the Epicomms boards (Or they are really warped, take your pick :-: )

Somewhere back there is a post about double moving. WEs can only barge when they are on an engage order, hence my opponent immediatly started putting 'sacrificial' infantry and scouts in my way so I couldn't double directly toward my objectives. (My opponent was using IG)

Also, I couldn't afford to waste an Atomic Breath Attack on them when the IG Tank Company was hammering on poor Godzilla. Last, the Double Move Atomic Breath Attack isn't all that great, and considering Godzilla was the only target on the board it collects BMs real fast.

Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla: It happened :D , second battle my opponent had a Reaver, and I set my sights on getting into CC with it. It almost cost me the battle chasing the Reaver, too soon I had to dash for the table edge.

Hey, I didn't say the scenarios are balanced, just fun. You gaotta 'game play' a bit to really enjoy this mini-campaign.

Jaldon :p

Great job!

I enjoyed reading the scenario.
