Hi!
If FW did necrons that would be a dream come true!
I'd bet they'd make money too!
Let us hope!

Jervis had said at one point that he was concerned about any of the ERC members or Army champions being overloaded by mod duties. I knew PG wasn't thrilled with being one but I didn't realize he'd given it up.
=== Back on topic:
It appears that the mods and maybe a few other select people are making up the suggestion committee for the forum overhaul.
I hope they do some good.
Personally, I think that if the subforum categories were improved in the proper manner it would make an immense difference in the utility of the board as a whole.

It would appear that feedback is now being accepted for a limited time back at the Specialist Boards. Be sure to read the rules before you post!

I've always wondered why a someone like you isnt in charge over there on those forums.
Heck if you were in charge, I'd might actually participate there!

Well, thanks for the vote of confidence.
Even as the closest thing Epicomms has to a resident raving fanboy, I'm beginning to think that SG is on its way out.

Neal gets my vote
Didn't we hear the same Fanatic is dying the last time they changed the forum?
Honest I really don't remember for sure, but I thought we did.
Though it does seem like this 'fix' was done to remove people from the forum, rather then make it easier and better.
Truth is GW is going to do what GW is gonna do no matter what we want, do, or say. They always have, for good or ill, but it is hard not to be a doom and gloomer when you look at their track record.
Two things I find really funny about GW is.........
(1) The way they 'fix' things is almost comical to the extreme.
Look at the promotion of the new 'better' forum, and then look at the forum, it was definitely one of those pucker factor ten moments followed by "yep GW=SNAFU"
Even better is the cycle of WH and WH40k, we have to put out new rule book to make it simplier, then we have to add all these things to the codexes to make them interesting, oooops we gotta fix some of the rules, oh that really shafted that codex we gotta fix some of the fixes, ooooops the rules are too complex we have to put out new rules book that is simplier (go back to top).
Sorta like the business card I had made, on the front it said "How do you keep a blonde busy (Flip over card for answer)". Then on the back of the card it said "How to you keep a blonde busy (Flip over card for answer)"
(2) Well number two can wait till another day, it's late now and I must rack out before work tommorrow.
On topic: I really hope they follow the suggestions offered and fix the forum. However Epicomms is going to be Primary Base #1 for Epic-A in my book from now on, with little dashes to the SG forum.
Neal gets my vote again

You got that right, Jaldon ! No matter what happens with G/W and Epic, we can keep Epic alive. I mean, look ... now we're talking about many armies and rules for the game on numerous threads here. As I said before, Epicomms will be the center of the Epic Universe. One of the few times it's good to be at "Ground Zero" (an appropriate analogy based on what happened 60 years ago, this week !) ...

Well actually this day 60 years ago... right?
Oh well - I think it's safe to say that Epic cannot be killed. And I really like the idea of a completely GW independent game spinning off into whatever the fans want. Only thing that's bad is that JJ can't participate. I think he's a good bloke deep within.. betting on the wrong horse - yes - but still "Darth Vader wasn't all that evil after all".

I dunno about JJ being 'cut off' from Epic, per se.
I now many who have had corrspondences with him for years, outside GW's active games.
I tend to believe if prodded outside GW's environs he would answer, he is a good sort.

I've been recommending this for a long time.
Whatever rules you prefer, I fail to see why the fanbase has to depend on GW to develop or maintain. I'd be perfectly happy getting minis from GW and no rules.
I suspect epic A fans had better seriously think about a "net Epic A" sometime in the near future.

(Yes, 60 years ago today, 06AUG45 was the first ...) An even if/when Epic goes the way of MOW ... we can still do what we're doing now ... with or without G/W ...
