Heck, I used to lurk dialy at the old one, this new one doesn't even make me want to do that...
Primarch | Ditto. I used to check in on it just about every day. Now I might check once a week, if that.

I pop in once a day to see if any newbies need help then I am off to Epicomms
Hardly ever post though, I sorta feel obligated to going there to see if anyone needs help.

I've also gone from "twice-a-day" to "random-maybe-once-a-week" with the forum change.

Hey, I noticed Pixelgeek is no longer a mod of the Epic forums. Or am I dreaming that he was at one point? Nothing bad going on I hope?

Well so much for the trial period ending and discusion of the new forums structer and handling, it looks like yet more bad decisionmaking and heavyhanded policy are set keep everything over there as restricted and unilluminating as posible. Its really too bad I've wasted these last thirty days trying to hang in there untill some changes could be made

If PG is following true to form, he probably set up a separate non-mod ID so he could "take off the hat" so to speak - differentiating official statments certainly has its uses.

Poor Jervis, such a nice chap and writer of some cracking games... but GW will proabably be giving him the push in a year, along with the remmnants of Fanatic.
|
Jervis has done about all he could. If it ever comes to that I hope he teams up with Andy C and does some good freelance work. Like a 6mm scale Armaggeddon:2089 mini game for Mongoose...

PG Does seem to be not listed as a mod anymore on the forums. I do however remember reading a while ago on his blog (I have too much free time, what can I say? ), that the folks in his area had largely stopped playing epic due to the dwindling support, and that his enthusiasm was suffering. I dont always get on with the guy, but he does put a hell of a lot of work into the game, and does a lot of good stuff, it would be a shame if he dropped out.
