Quote (Tas @ 23 2005 June,18:23) | Then again, I'm gearing myself up for what even Primarch would call a "Big purchase" when they come out... | I think we need to act quickly once the new stuff is out. It is hard to know how long it will be available and who would want to try and get some through ebay then.
I have bought some IG at full price because of that. My next "Large" buy will be if they redo the nids to look more like the new 40k ones. If they are just a re-release, well then I'll pass.

I missed the Nids last time so I'll be getting bulk bugs nomatter what.
Chaos though, I'm only after the new stuff - raptors, obliterators, defilers, death wheels etc.

I would love to follow what goes on SG, and at one point I did, but it turned into an almost full time job...and I already have one of those! I quite enjoyed the time I was there, but I have since got into more just hovering and looking occasionally...it leaves me more time to play.

From what I understand, they are just going to re-release the E40K 'Nids ?! Yes ... No ?!?

Hi Ralph and Gang,
According to the latest information I have, most of the new E-A 'Nid line will be re-releases of the Epic-40k 'Nids with SOME new sculpts...
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

Chaos is first. They will be mostly re-releases with just a few new sculpts but no specifics have been mentioned. Front runners are the Obliterators and Defilers. The war engines are behind that.
Nids should be right after, but given the limited production capacity allotted to Epic, I would predict some delays.
Hopefully, Chaos rules and minis and Nid rules will be an early 2006 release, Nid minis and Tau rules a mid-2006 release.
And, of course, it's all subject to change - usually delay.

Hi!
Even its all old stuff, I would consider it a huge boon to have any minis for chaos and tyranids. So I'm not that worried if any new stuff appears. Its nice but the main chaos line is more important.

Even if it's all old stuff, I would consider it a boon to have minis for anything. For me, new minis would be a bonus.

No ?!? | There would have to be at least some new sculpts as there are some new bugs. No old sculp to reflect the new unit. Further, some of the units have changed so much that the old sculpts do not make sense.

Would that be for chaos, Tas?
|
Both Chaos and Nids really. Maksim has a LARGE Boxes of chaos for me from the MEGATRADE of late last year and I imagine that that, combined with what I already have, will be sufficient for my Heretic needs. Of course, new units (eg raptors, obliterators) will be on my list too, but I wont be replacing old sculpts for new sculpts of the same mini...
My pitiful horde of Nids is just a sad inditment on the Hive Mind really. Not enough chitinous death to capture an Imperial Primary School! This is where I see most of my purchases going. The 2nd hand price of Nids around the place is ludicrous these days, and I dont see my self able to snatch up any bargains anytime soon.
I suppose your gonna order at least 1k of stuff? |
Thats the plan, but that would be both combined. I'm stashing some pay away slowly in secret preparation...
If you order over 2k, then I'm really impressed!!
If I order over 2k and get caught, then I'm dead!!
Which also poses the question - what is the standard currency for the 1K? USD? (as P set the limit), GBP? (as GW makes them) The currency you are paid in? It makes a big difference you know?
1,000GPB = US$1,824 = A$2,371
or
US$1,000 = A$1,300
