I'm ex Air Force, I'm above all these petty arguments because I know what is the best service.  :D

Army, the officers stay behind the lines and send the men forward into danger.

Royal Navy, some confusion, both officers and men go together into danger.

Royal Air Force, officers fly the planes into danger, whilst the men stay back at the airfield.

:D

Ah, but great power can come from such denial.  :p

Some say, success comes to those who believe.

So all the talk about Hammer's Slammers has forced me to pull out my poor old copy and start to read the set again. :D

Good God no! The thought is simply appalling!

I'd have to drag my own drinks cabinet to Berlin - most unsavoury!

Very true Jimbo.

Indeed I highly recommend the Air Force for those looking for an alternative to Military service  :D

I do so enjoy the competitive and friendly rivalry between the Services.
