OK, I have gone back and looked at the Land Raider a couple of times. I do not see anything wrong with it. I would think that unless there is an issue with the paint scheme, it is fine. You picked the right base for it. It fits into the scheme with the Rhino.
Maybe it is just you are being hard on yourself?
In any even, looks good to me.

Thanks for the support. 
I think they make good bases regardless of the game. I do own FoW, but I could see using them as Striker II bases or for Epic as you have done.

Cleaned out some boxes today. Found some Marines I did not remember I had. Eight new Stands of Termies just joined my small Marine army.

Been training for Quake and polishing my config with extra keybinds and aliases. Right now I have a few super-aliases just waiting to be unleashed... 
The Celestian is progressing. Helmet, neckguard and shoulderpads are done, the backpack will follow soon.
Reading Amber tome 9 right now.

Here is the next stage. Note that this is still a work in progress and it is unfinished.

This is a close-up of the Ork vehicle in the terrain.
