and finally a knight household

Looks like a great start to a Titan Legion Army.

Like the custom Baron.  :D

Good Job.

Hello All,

I've been gone a while. ?So I fiugured I should return with some mini pics... :)

Sense the wife has returned form her two months of partying in California, read that as two months of Air Force training without the kid, I am finally able to devout some small amount of time back into the hobby.

I have decided to repaint my Space marine 40K army. ?The painted figures in my army were painted seven years ago. ?I think I have come a long way from that and I wanted to use my new talents on the first miniature army I ever owned. ?

The pictures here represent the first of the ?new look? army. ?This being my battlefield commander I pulled out all the stops for him.

For the first time on a 40K figure I have done:

Blending
Shading
Highlighting
Drilled the barrels out
Static grass for flock
Detailed eyes
I even tried Non metal metallics, but that was quickly covered up by Bolt gun metal. ?I guess I?ll leave that one to the pro?s.

I have been working on this figure off and on for the last several months.

I must say that I am rather proud of this figure. ?While it will not compete in a Golden Demon I think it shows a vast improvement over my original abilities. ?In the end I guess that is the best I can hope for.

I hope you enjoy

Take Care

So...

Bloodrayne "sppedbreak" records broken again. :)

Got 7th tome of Hellsing. Good reading, but doesn't feel in the same quality line as the previous ones.

Work on painting the "other banshee" that was waiting for the paintjob since December has begun. Target scheme is an unearthly flame-like combo of white and blue. Color transition on the sword has been already done. Enchanted Blue to Ice Blue to Skull White looks really impressive.

Based the Sister of Battle for the RF contest.
Removing the mouldlines was a quickie, looks like I had luck enough to get a near-perfectly casted one, and same for the backpack.
Working on scratch-sculpting a horned skull to add to the base. Obviously this belonged to (ex) heretic who met the Sister face-to-face.
I think of painting her with a degree more attention to detail, specifically making the red trim of the armor with a little NMM effect and a major freehand detailwork on the armor. If any of you have seen the WH Codex then you will probably recall that some of the artwork there displays Sisters with floral patterns on their armor. And these will be copied onto the miniature's armor. Glossed black armor + fiddly details = challenge not to be missed! :O

Finished my DIY Dark Angels pendant. Not sure of the way the wings came out, but as a whole the thing looks pretty cool anyway.

Purchased new brushes (standard 0 and 00 plus some uber-fiddly ultra-precise one) to have fresh ones for painting the Sister for the contest and a pot of blue ink for the Banshee.

Furthermore, I finally took some pictures of my long WIP Callidus Assassin. Been working on that girl since about seven months ago (filing through previous mega-threads might produce an almost exact date), and she is STILL not complete.  :l

Attended own tournament.

Finished 8th out of 26.

Finished as highest-ranked person from Sheffield.

Finished above last years champions.

2 Massacres, and massacred once.

I'll take that :)
