Ouch, I know that sound I suspect there's quite a few of us that recognise it too, to smaller or larger degrees. luckily my experience was small scale. I feel for you 'D'

The Horror...the Horror.
I too have suffered losses on a Regimental scale while moving etc, so can feel your pain. ?Use the experience to rebuild - Remount the troops into dioramas with their feet in green stuff or?use them as casualties etc. ?
Its painful, but they are only truly lost if you let them be.
The Emperor protects....

Very sad to hear that Daf... ?
I'm still upset about my mother get rid of my model space ship collection, when I was in the Army... ? ?
There was some stuff there that once I got into Epic, when I got out of the Army, would have made good Dropships, Landers, etc. ... ?
And as far as "rules" go, we're pretty much sold on E-A, with some additional rules (modified or otherwise), like SM-1/AT-1 Random Scenarios, Over the Top, Off and on-board FA and Spt, SM-1/2 Templates, SM-2(+) Characters (we got the stands !), etc. ?
There are some E-A rules we won't use either, but we're going to use about 85% + or - ... ?
So I don't think we really have "house rules" only a list of previous stuff we like that we will "meld" on to "E-A-85!"

The medics have now done an assessment. More then 30 stands with damage other then just guns broken. Three are almost not worth trying to fix. The rest need some glue on their legs and they will be good as, well, just good.
Lost lots of las-gun barrels. So I think some will need to be cliped and make whole stands of "Bull Pups". After I saw the air drop troops on the Forgeworld site, I do not think it will be such a big deal. I kind of like the look anyway.
Thanks for the support guys. I was very upset last night, but this morning I realize they are just toys, it could have hit Daniel, he was in the Gargage with me as well. So it could have been much worse. My toys will live and no one was really hurt, well except my heart rate going very high last night.

If you need the help, I'll see that you get reinforcements from my own collection... I'd do that for you!
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak. | Thanks Maksim, The thought is great, but I still have another box so I am OK. I think after I spend some time with them I will be able to field troops with all the APCs at least.
Overall, the Ogres were missed as were the RRs and Jump troops. So I am still in place for an apprentace Primarch spot.

Lesson two for apprentice primarch
Always keep spares for emergencies....
Primarch | Yes Master, I have a small butter tub filled with loose troopers, old broken stands, and all kinds of extra bits.
I plan on using it to help salvage some of the stands.
That is why I believe only three are beyond hope.

Spent some time with the boys tonight. Sad it was to see once again. In any event, I started the "bend up and glue" process. Hope they hold well.
I did have one stand that seemed to be flat. All five men were broke off. Must have been the stand that took the dirrect hit.
While I was out there, I was looking at my collection. I have a wide mix of stuff when it comes to both books and miniatures. For example, I have Epic minis, Heavy Gear, D&D, Spanish American War, and Traveller minis. Do most of you have mixed stuff?
Just a thought.

It's scary how much room lead/pewter/resin/plastic can take up!! Cheers

Weeell.... let's see. My main drive to collect regards RPGs. Miniatures, CCGs and boardgames are almost an afterthought. Despite this, I do branch out somewhat.
I own over a hundred RPG systems (and countless supplements). My jewel is a woodgrain 3rd print D&D box, altough it's only in "very good" condition.
For minis, the overwhelming majority is Epic, for which I have a large collection. I also own some Chronopia, WFB 4th ed. Empire, and a little Warzone.
CCGs, just two: Middle Earth (ICE) and Lord of the Rings (Decipher). For ME I have a complete set plus a complete playset. LoTR I stopped after the first 3 sets. The ICE game is much better, imho. I also own leftovers from my old Magic days, but nothing really noteworthy.
Boardgames, mainly a few old classics, things like Dune and Civilization.
What can I say... I love games
